Saturday mornings are getting a little bit autumnal! 🍁

What better way to start the weekend than with paint, pastels & pencils, creativity and a room full of busy little artists!

Today we launched our art competition, inspired by the New Mills Art & Poetry Trail which has started this weekend.

We can’t wait to see all the wonderful, weird, colourful and completely imaginative ideas our Kids Art Club artists come up with!

And a HUGE thank you to Betsy and Joanna Allen for leading our sessions today and helping our artists get stuck into their creative adventures. 💛👏

✨ And just like that… we’re back! 🎨

Our first week back has been such a lovely one and today’s Creative Reset Workshop was the perfect way to ease back into making.

It was wonderful to welcome some new faces, and just as lovely to see our regular students back after the summer holidays. 💛

There was lots of chatting, plenty of new friendships beginning, and of course, lots of creative experimentation! We played, explored, tried new things and reminded ourselves that sometimes the best artwork comes from simply having a go and seeing where it takes you.

No pressure. No perfect outcomes. Just time to create, experiment and enjoy being in the studio. ✨

Wayne Thiebaud inspired art this week at some more of our workshops. We’ve been working on some very exciting sculptures over the last few months. With the help of Joanna Allen Betsy Pippa Hicks - we’re creating a very colourful and delicious exhibition ready for the Art & Poetry trail in New Mills. A little up date from me, it’s been a while since I’ve posted and I don’t get to post as much as I’d like because we’ve been so busy. But, I’m just going to leave this little collection of pics here for you. A mixed bag of after school art clubs, our home Ed sessions, our funded EBSA workshops and our new teen Saturday class. I’m so proud of all our mini artists, and our not so mini ones!
