Last week, learners from across school enjoyed taking part in Forest School activities in our garden.
They worked together to collect wood, learned how to safely build and light a fire, and finished the session by toasting marshmallows around the campfire.
These hands-on experiences help to develop teamwork, resilience, problem-solving skills and a deeper appreciation of the natural world. 🌿🔥

Our gardeners are incredibly proud of this year's crop of carrots, beans and potatoes, all grown through their hard work, care and patience.

*Also featuring the racing pigeon who called in for a few nights at our Lomeshaye Hotel for some water and food before carrying on it's journey home.

As World Cup fever swept across the country, we held a class and staff sweepstake to add a little friendly competition to the tournament.

With Spain crowned World Cup champions, congratulations go to 5 Larch, who were our eventual winners! They not only earned the bragging rights but also won a selection of football-themed books for their class library. ⚽📚

A huge thank you to Lattimer Limited for providing our fantastic World Cup wall charts throughout the tournament.

Last week, we welcomed a packed audience of parents and families for our Year 6 Leavers' Performance and Prize Giving.

Our Year 6 learners took us on a journey around the world aboard their very own LJS aeroplane, brilliantly created by Mr Cooper. Along the way, they shared wonderful memories, showcased their talents and entertained everyone with a fantastic performance.

The journey ended back at Lomeshaye for our annual Pride of Lomeshaye Awards, where we celebrated the achievements, character and successes of our amazing Year 6 learners.

🍽️ Year 6 Leavers' Meal 2026 🎉

Our Year 6 learners enjoyed a fantastic evening celebrating the end of their time at Lomeshaye Junior School. It was wonderful to see everyone together, sharing memories, laughter and enjoying one final celebration before moving on to secondary school.

Today we said goodbye to our Class of 2026. 💙

Before they left, they were treated to a special guard of honour from learners and staff – a fitting send-off for an amazing year group.

It has been a privilege to play such an important part in their lives over the past four years. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and wish them all the very best for the future. Keep dreaming big – you'll always be part of the Lomeshaye family. 🌟
