Aly’s Little Acorns- Registered Childminder

Thank you to Jellytots Childcare-Ofsted Registered Childminders. For these images.

We adapted them slightly by placing into poly pockets with a selection of buttons and taping the top shut. I asked the children to push the buttons onto the spots to complete the picture, encouraging them to develop their fine motor skills. 🥰👌

The littles and I had a lovely morning at the play and train event for childminders at Brynhyfryd Early Years hub hosted by the NPT early years and flying start team.

Hopefully we can attend more events like this soon. It was a great way to get and share ideas, meet the team and fellow childminders and for the children to socialise with others too. 🥰

Today we did a little bit of baking. Each of the children took turns to measure out the ingredients then mixed them together. Aly baked it in the oven and when they were cool we all got a taste 😋

We enjoyed a lovely walk in the woods this afternoon hunting for autumn 🍂 treasures. We found lots of different leaves of all shapes and sizes, conkers, twigs which we will use to make art later in the term.

We were also super quiet and were able to observe all kinds of birds, squirrels, ducks and Swans enjoying their natural habitats.

We didn’t even mind when the rain came along ☔️

Making potions 🧪 squeezing, stirring, mixing & pouring, using different containers and vessels for their concoctions 🤩

The children come back to the potion kitchen time and time again. It’s a favourite in our garden 🥰
