Join us every Monday at 11am at Whitekirk Hill for four weeks to immerse your little one (and yourself!) in Italian songs, rhymes, stories, games and more.

✅ Give them a head start with a second language before school, or cement the Italian you are trying to implement at home. Whatever your reasons for joining us, everyone is welcome!

🛖 Don’t forget, classes take place in the Yurt outside the Play Barn, where for just £1 per child you can enjoy 110 minutes of softplay time before or after the class!

🏖️ ☀️ Thank you so much to those of you who came to one or all of the summer classes, we really enjoyed them but I am very much looking forward to our calmer term-time sessions!

We start up again for a 4-week block starting on the 31st of August in the Yurt at Whitekirk Hill.

I’ve decided to do things a little differently for this coming year. I will no longer be offering drop-in sessions as I feel the continuity between the classes is important as the themes, concepts and new words all link together.

Our first block for the autumn term has the following dates:

📣 Next Monday is our first summer pop-up class at Whitekirk Hill!

Ci vediamo in tanti per cantare, giocare e leggere insieme, il tutto in italiano 🇮🇹

See you there for lots of singing, rhyming, games and a story, all in Italian! 🇮🇹

This will be a more relaxed session to allow for disruption (or enrichment…?) with the presence of older siblings, including Anna’s… the play park outside the yurt will be available for older siblings to break out if needs be.

⏰ Starts 11am in the Yurt outside the Play Barn - don’t forget it’s only £1 per person for 110 minutes of soft play time before or after the class!

Expectations vs. Reality…

Even though this didn’t go as planned, I don’t think either of us will ever forget how to say “bread” now in Italian! When it becomes fun and games, kids learn without even realising…

Here’s the verse with all the names of the fingers who’ve almost run out of bread, in case you want to practise at home:

Dice il pollice, “non c’è pane”
Dice l’indice, “ma come faremo?”
Dice il medio, “lo compreremo”

For 45 minutes, let me take the lead and sit back and enjoy some time with your little one(s) as they engage with a new (or not so new) language, Italian! You’ll be amazed and what they can learn in such a short space of time!

🇮🇹 🎶 Priced per family, come along and enjoy a day out in East Lothian and some quality time together singing and rhyming in Italian to get a head start on their second language acquisition.

👧There’s so many ways to make this song fun and challenging for different ages!

Possiamo andare più veloce, o più lentamente, piano, forte, o anche saltare delle parti…

And as you can see, it’s still tricky despite having done it what feels like a million times…

I’m sure it will make an appearance at our summer classes 🏖️
