Mini Builders 👷

There's often a job to do at Mulberry Bush Day Nursery - Mulbarton.
On this occasion we had some Goslings help to build a radiator cover.
They had to work as a team, taking each piece out of the box, recognising the numbers on each part and then laid them out ready to start the build.
Together, with help from a grown up, they successfully found the right screws and joined the pieces together.
What a brilliant build!

To continue to promote oral health and hygiene the Goslings have had a session with Sarah, an oral health educator, from BrightBites. Sarah spoke to the children about the importance of brushing our teeth and showed us the best techniques to use.

Exploring the wonder of the Solar Eclipse 🌑🌞

Some of our friends have arrived this morning talking about the solar eclipse so we have been finding out more about this through some experimental activities and from some online learning resources.

We have discovered how the Moon can move in front of the Sun and create a shadow on Earth. We've had a chance to create our own eclipse using torch light and through mark making opportunities too.

We can't wait to hear about the children's experiences tomorrow 🌑🌞

🌳 This term our committee meeting has focused on our garden spaces and thinking about improvements and developments the children would like to see.

We spent time discussing what we like to do in the garden, looked through some catalogues and of course, enjoyed some refreshments.

We've been left with lots of ideas about how to develop our environment and a big to do list! 🌳

We are so lucky and proud to have a fantastic team at Mulberry Bush... and leading them all is Emma, our Nursery Manager...

We are so lucky and proud to have a fantastic team at Mulberry Bush... and leading them all is Emma, our Nursery Manager. Emma has been working at Mulberry Bush in Mulbarton for 20 years! Starting with us as a student, and working her way through the ranks, she really is the backbone of the nursery. Emma's primary goal has always been to ensure that the Mulberry Bush children receive the best care and education possible. Thank you for everything you have done, Emma, and everything you continue to do. We look forward to many more years together ###

We're going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo! 🐅 🐧 🐒 🦅 🦜 🦒

What a fabulous day we've had at Banham Zoo seeing all of the different animals they have. We were treated to a special discovery session where we learnt all about how to be a zookeeper and even got the chance to hold or feel Stacey the stick insect!

Thank you to the team at Banham Zoo to making our day so much fun!

This morning we had a special visitor from Beth in her tractor. The children were able to explore the cab, and loved measuring themselves up against the big wheels!

As we come to the end of our June curriculum looking at different vehicles and the role of them within our communities we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has come out to see us at nursery. The children, and team, have loved exploring all of the vehicles we have welcomed!

Football Fever ⚽

We have been learning all about the sport and some of the countries taking part in this year's World Cup.
The children have been playing mini football, practising ball skills in the garden room and we have been busy making flags to help cheer on England.
There has also been lots of maths skills being used, by making score predictions and finding out whether anyone guessed correctly the following day.
