A little look at what we’ve been up to at nursery…

It’s been a busy few weeks filled with lots of opportunities for the children to learn, explore and build confidence through real-life experiences. 🦋

We enjoyed a role-play Spa Day, where the children explored self-care, taking turns and looking after one another. 🧖🏼‍♀️

We also visited the library, giving the children the chance to choose books, enjoy stories and develop their love of reading. 📚

Our village walks have been a lovely way to explore our local community, including a special visit to see the tractors at our local Robs Nursery, which the children absolutely loved! 🚜

Our babies and toddlers have enjoyed trips to the park, exploring new surroundings, getting fresh air and developing their physical skills through climbing, balancing and active play. 🛝

We’ve also been building maths and important life skills through real-life experiences, with the children enjoying trips to the shops where they can choose items, count, handle money and even pay for their own purchases. These everyday experiences are a great way to build confidence, independence and an understanding of the world around them🌍

Back at nursery, we’ve been making the most of our garden, with lots of water play, outdoor equipment and child-led activities. There’s nothing quite like learning through play and enjoying the sunshine together. ☀️🌿

✨ We have been making the most of the beautiful weather and have loved spending our days outdoors! Whether we’ve been exploring our local community or enjoying all that our garden has to offer, every day has been filled with exciting opportunities to learn through play. 🌿☀️

🍳 Outdoor Cooking
The children loved getting involved in our outdoor cooking activities, exploring different ingredients, developing their independence and enjoying learning together in the fresh air.

🐶 A Special Visitor
We were so excited to welcome Miss Charlotte’s lovely dog to nursery. The children enjoyed meeting their furry friend, learning how to interact gently and respectfully, and sharing lots of smiles and cuddles.

🏕️ Role Play & Den Building
Our garden became the perfect place for imaginative play as the children worked together to build dens, create their own adventures and let their imaginations flourish.

What a FUN-filled time we’ve been having at nursery! 🌞🎉

From messy painting fun to exploring the garden in the sunshine, the children have been busy making the most of every moment 🌿🎨 From mixing up delicious smoothies to discovering bright colours and getting creative with paint outdoors 🍓🌈🖌️

There’s been lots of imagination too—from chatting on homemade cup phones to watching colourful kites fly high in the sky 🪁📞✨

❄️ Snowy Smiles This Week! ❄️
What a magical few days we’ve had playing out in the snow! The children loved exploring the wintry weather—making footprints, spotting frosty patterns, and sharing lots of giggles with their friends. Wrapped up warm, they made some wonderful snowy memories ☃️✨

Spending time outside in the snow supports children’s physical development as they move, balance, and explore in different ways. It also encourages curiosity and sensory learning, helping them to discover the world around them. Trying something new builds confidence and resilience, while playing together strengthens communication, teamwork, and social skills—all while having lots of fun 💙
