What a gorgeous morning for a trip to the park! Slyne Parish Council invited us down to be the first to try out the brand new zip line on the Rec. Year 3 were more than happy to take on the challenge although we did make Mr A be the first guinea pig!!!! We also got a little sneaky play on the park too….well it is nearly the holidays!!! We had a brilliant time and the zip line opens this weekend so will be up and running for the lovely weather we are hopefully getting next week! Happy half term everyone ☀️

We held our annual intra-school cross country competition in school this week for our children in Y2 to Y6! Well done everyone for participating with enthusiasm and congratulations to all our medal winners 🏅

The girls from Y1-Y6 had a fabulous afternoon on Monday practising their football skills with Lancaster Giants FC - Lancaster’s only all-girl football club. Thank you so much for coming and leading a wonderful session. The girls loved it! We have some fliers in school if anyone is interested in joining Lancaster Giants.

What a lovely sports week we have had in school this week! We’ve had to dodge the rain a few times but we’ve managed most of our planned activities🏅

We started the week with Mike working with our Reception children. He then created a dodgeball mini tournament for the boys in Y1-4!

What a fantastic way for our Year 6 children to celebrate finishing SATs!

They’ve had an amazing day at the recreational ground enjoying lollies, playing rounders, dancing, tearing up old papers and making lots of special memories with their friends.

We are so proud of all their hard work this week and the positive attitude they have shown throughout. Well done, Year 6!

They worked so hard learning their lines and songs, and showed so much confidence performing in front of everyone!
