Sometimes the biggest learning opportunities happen around the snack table. 💚🍓🥒
Today we shared our snack from one big platter, giving everyone the chance to choose what they’d like while practising waiting, taking turns and thinking about others.
At the moment, sharing is a common next step across our little Cubs, so these everyday moments are incredibly valuable. Rather than expecting children to share because they’re told to, we create opportunities to practise it in a calm, supported way. ❤️
Alongside this, we’ve introduced open cups at snack time too. Using open cups helps develop oral muscles, coordination and independence, while encouraging children to slow down, focus and become more aware of their movements.
It’s amazing how much learning can happen over a plate of fruit and vegetables. Sometimes the simplest moments have the biggest impact. 🌿💛
