🎨🍎 Year 5 have been amazing artists! πŸ–ŒοΈπŸŒˆ

Our talented Year 5 pupils have been exploring still life art, using watercolours to create vibrant paintings of fruit! πŸπŸŠπŸ‡

Inspired by the bold colours, natural themes and expressive style of Frida Kahlo, the children experimented with colour, shape and composition to bring their fruit arrangements to life. 🎨✨

Their finished masterpieces are bursting with colour, creativity and personality! We are so proud of their fantastic work and the individuality they have shown. πŸ–ΌοΈπŸ’›

Well done, Year 5! Keep creating and letting your imaginations flourish! πŸŒŸπŸ‘

πŸ§ͺ🍎 Science in Year 4! 🍎πŸ§ͺ

Year 4 have been getting hands-on with the digestive system this week! The children brought their learning to life through an exciting role-play activity, following the journey of food through the body. πŸ₯ͺβž‘οΈπŸ§‘β€πŸ”¬

Some children became the different organs of the digestive system, while others took on the role of the food travelling through them. One of the biggest highlights was using water guns to represent saliva being added to food in the mouth – causing plenty of excitement! πŸ’¦πŸ˜„

A fun, memorable and engaging way to discover how our digestive system works and how each organ has an important job to do. πŸŒ±πŸ’š

✨ Learning through continuous provision ✨

Our EYFS environment is carefully planned to inspire children’s curiosity, independence and imagination every day. 🌱

Through role play, children develop communication, language and social skills as they explore different experiences and make sense of the world around them. πŸ πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

Our writing opportunities encourage children to mark-make, practise phonics and develop a love of writing, while our number and maths provision supports counting, sorting, problem-solving and developing mathematical thinking. πŸ”’βœοΈ

Every area of our continuous provision has a purpose β€” allowing children to play, explore, practise, create and learn at their own pace, while building the skills and confidence they need for the future. πŸ’›
