We are starting our new classes this week for a range of year groups and subjects. Please find the full details below.

Year 3 Classes

We are starting new Year 3 classes for Maths and English this week.
• Format: Face-to-face and online
• Focus: For Year 3 students, we teach topics that build a strong foundation for 11 Plus preparation. Homework is set and marked each week based on the topics covered in class.
• Frequency: Weekly classes

Year 4 & Year 5 Classes

Year 4 and Year 5 students can either:
• Join an existing batch, or
• Start in a new batch this October (depending on assessment and tutor recommendation).
Subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Creative Writing.

Year 7 to Year 13 (GCSE and A-Level Classes)

We have a few spaces remaining in our existing group classes for Maths, English, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

As most of you know, we are running standard format paper Maths and Creative Writing paper classes every Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm. After Stage 1 exams, students do not have much time to practice for Stage 2 exams. This is the last opportunity to do some Stage 2 exam practice as the exam is approaching in a few months.

These paper classes cater to students preparing for Sutton Schools, Tiffin Schools, HBS, CSSE, Reading School, and independent schools.

Face-to-Face Class Details:
For face-to-face classes, please ensure your child arrives at the center by 5:15 pm to begin the exam at 5:30 pm under the examiner's supervision. The first 45 minutes will be allocated for the exam, followed by another 45 minutes during which the examiner will explain the challenging questions. Collection time is at 7:00 pm, and corrected papers will be returned in the next class.

Our English tutor will provide creative writing techniques in the first 30 minutes. Students will then undertake the creative writing paper under the examiner's guidance for 45 minutes to one hour, starting at 18:00. Collection time for these papers is also at 7:00 pm, and corrected papers will be returned before the next Creative Writing paper class.

Online Class Details:
For online classes, the paper will be sent to parents' emails 15 minutes before the start of the session. The first 45 minutes will be allocated for the exam, followed by another 45 minutes during which the examiner will explain the challenging questions. Students' written Maths papers should be submitted to 11 Plus Guru by email after completing the exam.

Our English tutor will also provide creative writing techniques for the first 30 minutes of the online class. Students will then engage in the creative writing paper under the examiner's supervision for 45 minutes. Parents are required to scan and send the completed creative writing paper to our email, and these papers will be assessed by professional creative writing experts. Detailed feedback will be sent to parents' email addresses within ten days.

Dear Parents,

11 Plus Guru is offering a free online spelling bee to help students learn and reinforce proper spelling in a simple, fun way. You can access the tests via the following link:

This spelling test is aimed at children aged 5 to 12 and is divided into six levels, based on school years. The purpose of this challenge is to help children increase their literary confidence by improving their spelling, increasing their vocabulary and developing correct English usage - all of which will help them greatly throughout their lives. These tests are suitable for 11 plus test preparation as well.

Each exam will consist of 20 words. An audio of the word with a UK accent will be played, and the students will enter the correct spelling. These audio files will be recorded by a UK-qualified English teacher.
