Free School Meals are changing from September 2026. 🚨

Families receiving Universal Credit will be able to access free school meals starting from the 2026/27 school year.

As a parent or carer, you may need to re-apply for the 2026/27 school year — even if your child already receives Free School Meals.

It only takes a few minutes to check, and applying could save your family up to £500 per child each year while helping make sure your child has a healthy lunch ready for the new school year.

Please apply early so everything is in place before September 2026.

☀️ Water Safety Reminder 💦

With the hot weather continuing, many families will be heading to pools, rivers, lakes or the seaside to cool off. Please take a moment to talk to your child about staying safe around water.

The Royal Life Saving Society advises everyone to:
🔹 Stop and think before entering the water
🔹 Stay together – children should always be supervised closely
🔹 Enter water slowly and carefully – even on hot days, outdoor water can be dangerously cold
🔹 Stay within standing depth where possible
🔹 Float if in trouble – lie on your back, stay calm and call for help
🔹 In an emergency, call 999

Many water accidents happen in rivers and lakes where there may be hidden hazards and no lifeguards present. Please help children enjoy the sunshine safely by reminding them of these important messages.

This morning we celebrated the wonderful effort of our Year 6s during their SATs this week with a celebration breakfast prepared by Mrs Healey. We are incredibly proud of how each child has tried their best in each paper.

A huge thank you to Friends of Moggerhanger Primary School for organising such a fantastic Welly March today! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such a great sense of community spirit.

We’re incredibly grateful to all the staff and parents who supported the event and joined us: your help and enthusiasm made it such a success. Thank you to our enthusiastic sports captains for their help and leadership throughout the event.

What a brilliant day for everyone involved!

Reception 2026 Places

Congratulations to all families who have been offered a place in our Reception class for September 2026. We are delighted to be welcoming you and your children to our school community.

We celebrated Easter with family breakfasts on Thursday and Friday. Thank you to all families that could join us.
