At Broughton Fields Primary School, supporting every learner to succeed is at the heart of everything we do.

Through a carefully planned, inclusive curriculum, children are guided and challenged at the right level, ensuring they feel confident, capable, and motivated in their learning.

Teachers use ongoing assessment and responsive teaching to identify individual needs early, providing targeted support and stretch where it is needed most.

With strong relationships at the centre of school life, every child is known, valued, and encouraged to achieve their personal best.

As Broughton Fields prepares to become part of Preston Hedges Trust, pupils will gain access to even more innovative learning experiences designed to enrich the curriculum both inside and outside the classroom.

From expanded sporting opportunities to collaborative Trust-wide events, the focus is on creating a broad and inspiring educational journey for every child. Already, pupils across all year groups have been taking part in a growing sports programme featuring girls’ and boys’ football, with rugby, netball, and multi-skills activities launching in the new year.

These opportunities will build towards the Trust Olympics at Bedford Stadium in July — bringing pupils from across the Trust together to compete, collaborate, and celebrate their communities.

Our Year 6 Pupils have taken part in the Home Instead Easter Competition.

This week, the Home Instead Team were joined by the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr James Lancaster, to judge the entries and to announce the winners!

Congratulations to our top 3 prize winners!

Not only were our competition winners awarded their prizes. Home Instead also presented us with a very kind donation of a £100 gift card for the school and Cllr James Lancaster stayed to tour our school, visiting every class and holding a Q&A session with the Year 6 pupils.

We warmly invite you to come and look around our school, meet our dedicated staff, and see firsthand the supportive, inspiring environment we offer every day.

Being part of this Trust means our children benefit from the same high-quality teaching, support, and opportunities that have helped their pupils achieve such outstanding success.

Come and see what makes our school so special—we’d love to welcome you. For more information, or to book a tour please call 01908 235994

Broughton Fields Fun Friends is all about teamwork, community spirit and making a positive difference to school life. Whether it’s planning events, helping on the day, or sharing ideas, every contribution helps create a richer experience for the children.

They are always delighted to welcome extra help from parents, carers and staff, and are lucky to have a wonderful group of volunteers who already give their time to support the association. Every bit of help truly makes a difference. Even an hour spent assisting at an event, wrapping lucky dip prizes, or folding raffle tickets ,has a huge impact on what they can achieve for the children.

If you’d like to get involved—whether regularly or just now and then—please visit https://www.broughtonfieldsprimary.org.uk/page/pta-bf-fun-friends/148846 or email at [email protected]

To boost fundraising even further, they are also looking for companies who offer match funding. If your employer can match fund any of our events, please contact the school reception or email us. Your support could make an enormous difference, and we would be incredibly grateful.

We are delighted to end the week with some very exciting news: Following our previous conversations about joining a wider family of schools, we are pleased to share an exciting update.

We have received formal confirmation from the Department for Education to begin the legal process of Broughton Fields joining the Preston Hedges Trust family. We anticipate this journey will be complete by June or July.

Over the past few months, we have been working closely together, and this exciting next step will formalise our partnership and the opportunities it brings. The Trust team will be on hand to support us throughout, and looks forward to sharing this milestone with our pupils, families, and the wider community.
