Where are we working this weekend?

Our Knights and Castles day is great come rain or shine! This weekend at Colchester Roman and Medieval Festival we experienced both, from sunshine to downpours, but the fun never stopped.

Visitors joined us for Knight School, learned medieval dances, and then took part in our ever popular castle siege, plus tested their skills with our medieval games throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and joined in. We had a fantastic weekend sharing a little medieval history with you all and hope to see you again soon!

And that's a wrap on our Medieval Life half-term event at Leeds Castle, Kent

Over the past week we've had the pleasure of meeting thousands of visitors, sharing stories, answering questions, and bringing a little bit of the Middle Ages to life.

This event featured our three Medieval Life shows: Here Comes the Sheriff, exploring medieval money and trade; our brand new Medieval Time Show, looking at the history of timekeeping with replica clocks; and Mad Medieval Medicine, delving into some of the fascinating (and occasionally alarming) medical practices of the medieval world.

Visitors could also try medieval games, test their aim at our crossbow target station, strike their own medieval penny, and take a seat on our replica medieval throne.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to see us this week, and to the staff at Leeds Castle for having us. We're incredibly proud of what our little family team has achieved, and we're already looking forward to the next event.

Two days done of our Knights and Castles set up for the Queen's Joust at Leeds Castle, one more day tomorrow before we change over to our Medieval Life shows for the rest of half term.

We kicked off our event season today with some Medieval May Day fun at Headstone Manor & Museum. We helped some enthusiastic people enjoy traditional Maypole dancing and some lively Medieval dances.

May is just around the corner, and we have a few spots left for our vibrant maypole experience days for schools.
