For 3-10 year olds in Gerrards Cross.

A wonderful afternoon of French classes today, learning about zoo animals. Students could name 7 animal names by the end of the class and loved singing the Hippopotame 🦛 song. We listened to a story called Qui Conduit and had to work out which animal was driving which vehicle. There were lots of giggles when the masks came out too!

I’m happy to have topped up my First Aid training ahead of our next Summer Camp on 10-13 August. Your children’s safety and enjoyment are our two main priorities and whilst I really hope I don’t need to use them, I feel reassured that I have these skills under my belt.
I trained with based in Hedgerley and the day’s course was extremely well run and facilitated by the lovely Sammy. The course content was thorough but well set out, and was perfect for a visual learner like me. If you’re looking for any kind of first aid course I thoroughly recommend ❤️

Tuesday 11th - Tropical Tuesday 🌴 with baking, crafts, mocktail making, limbo dancing, games.
Wednesday 12th - Parisien Day 🇫🇷 with French snacks, baking, crafts, games and lots of ooh la la!
Thursday 13th is Ice Cream 🍦 time! Make your own sundae, bake inside ice cream cones, crafts, games and a dance workshop.

Our Summer Camp dates are confirmed and bookings are starting to come in already. 10-13 August in Gerrards Cross for 3-10 year olds. Today I finalised the programme and it’s going to be a fun packed four days!
☀️ Monday 10th is Pirate Party Day 🏴‍☠️ join us for lots of swashbuckling baking, crafts, games including walking the plank. ☀️ Tuesday 11th is Tropical Beach Party Day 🏖️ . There will be mocktail making, limbo dancing, baking, crafts, obstacle races and parachute games.
☀️ Wednesday 12th is French Day 🇫🇷 with Eiffel Tower building, French boules, hopscotch, Matisse art, Baking and croissants 🥐. ☀️ Thursday 13th is Ice Cream Day 🍦 make ice cream sundaes, bake cupcakes inside ice cream cones, decorate wooden ice creams, learn how to order an ice cream in French and enjoy a special dance workshop with Miss Holly. A yoga journey to find Peter Cottontail! Using different yoga poses, we made hot cross buns, spotted lots of different animals, rowed a boat down the river, climbed a tree and used bunny binoculars to search for Peter Cottontail. We spotted chicks, a turtle, puppies and finally Peter Cottontail. We practiced bunny breathing and then put on our socks and shoes to go outside and do the Easter egg hunt Peter had left for us!

We decorated plant pots 🪴 and then filled them with compost and added a sunflower seed for children to bring home. Parents please keep on a sunny windowsill and water often. We’d love to see photos when they start to grow!

Today at Easter Camp we baked delicious carrot cakes and then decorated them with edible carrots 🥕 and decorated chocolate bunny lollies, wrapping them in tissue ready to enjoy on Easter Sunday (if they last that long!)
We always ask the children at the end of camp what they’ve enjoyed most, and it’s always the baking!

Today we were blessed with lots of sunshine 🌞 for our Easter Camp. We managed to do lots of activities outside including an Easter egg hunt 🐣 pass the bunny round the circle peg game 🐰 and some lovely Easter stories 📖
