Another glorious afternoon playing, exploring, den building, fire lighting and marshmallow toasting with wonderful children. Everything was pretty challenging in the wind today but the kids persevered with the den building, the kids all got flint and steel sparks and lit the fire by themselves and my event shelter stayed up (phew). Thank you Mrs Cheney for letting us use your memorial as our fire circle today x

I haven’t done forest school for a while because I started a new job and it needed my full focus. Great Linford Parish Council kindly asked me to offer forest school as part of their Summer of Fun and what a beautiful afternoon we have had. Outdoor crafts, fire lighting and marshmallow toasting with totally awesome children 🥰. I hope Aiden didn’t mind us building a respectful den around his bench and also hope he was joining in, in spirit 😢❤️ 🦋🐛🕷🐝🌲🌳🌸

Two hours in the wood and we saw and learned loads! We were really lucky to see this scarlet elf cup fungi. Obviously we did not touch the fungi, just marvelled at their beauty.

I loved every second this morning. The children’s favourite part was definitely splashing in the stream.

We will get going in 2019 I promise! I've been feeling a bit under the weather the last few days. Going to try some fresh air and yoga today. Fingers crossed for a lovely session next Friday. Cathy x

We had a beautiful time in the forest yesterday. A very peaceful, chilled out craft session.
It’s a big, fat, round, chilly zero degrees this morning. We’ve got the fire pit, hot choc, Christmas songs and crafts. Heading to the wood now x
Good evening! It is very late and I've had such a busy week. I am very ready for some zen time in the forest. Me, Lily and Toby will be at the woods from 10 tomorrow if you'd like to join us # # #
