πŸ”‘πŸ‘The warmest welcome to solo homebuyer, who's completed on her new Bloor home this summer!

Since moving into her Bloor Lebberston in Basingstoke, we caught up with Lara to see how she's getting on and how her Bloor journey has been to date:

"I've been in almost a month now which has flown by, still many boxes but I'm working through. I've had a lovely experience with Bloor, although a shorter journey than most, starting in March this year with a trip to the sales office.

"I hadn't initially considered Basingstoke, but Millie [Bloor Sales Advisor] was super helpful and talked through all of the different housetypes available. With making the decision on my own, this was especially helpful.

"Although the house was already built, they [Bloor Sales Advisors] kept me up to date with all of the changes and were super supportive through the ups and downs of selling my last house before reservation. This is my third new build that I've bought and the experience has been by far my favourite. I'm so impressed with the attention to detail and post sales I've received from the site team being on hand with any random questions too.

"I mostly made the decision on The Lebberston due to the downstairs layout being perfect for hosting and the corner plot. Coming from a three-story house I knew the compromise would be on bedroom size, but having the en suite and good sized third bedroom won me over!"

Thank you for trusting us with your new home, Lara. We look forward to following your new home journey and wish you all the best in your new Bloor home πŸ’™

How to buy a new Bloor home like a doctor 🏑🩺

Dr Das and his family relocated from Canada to the UK 4 years ago so he could complete his GP training, and soon secured a permanent GP position in Leominster.

The next step was to move from a rental of 2-years into a home they could proudly call their own.

From the first time they drove past Hereford Point, they were curious to find out more. They visited but didn’t reserve straight away as they were keen to compare the quality of new Bloor homes to those built by other housebuilders.

Little did they know that they would complete on their own new Bloor home exactly 1-year to the day!

They took a thorough and considered approach to buying their new Bloor home as understandably, they wanted to get their plot choice right. Once right, they reserved their home and completed just 2 months later.

Tried and tested tips for buying your new Bloor home:

πŸ‘‰ Consider various housetypes – step inside and see how they compare. You’ll naturally find a preference on design options, features and layout.

πŸ‘‰ Take note of the sun - learn how and when the sun will shine into your home at various times of the day. (Sunshine fills your home with natural light and improves your wellbeing at he same time!

πŸ‘‰ Visit similar homes at various stages of construction – these visits can help you visualise what your home will look like without furniture and see the quality of work going into your home.

Tell us, what's your best tip for buying a new Bloor home?

Community, really is at the heart of Mickleover πŸ’™ When the Mickleover Community Pantry was put forward for a Β£250 boost from our Cromwell Community Fund, we were immediately touched by the amazing work they do to support local people in need.

The Pantry is run by Mickleover Community Pavilion Association and based at the Community Pavilion on Vicarage Park, and currently distributes an average of 30 food parcels every month, providing essential supplies to between 45 and 50 vulnerable people.

And it’s not just essential groceries and dignity packs, the Pantry provide.

The Pantry also puts a portion of funds towards bulk-buying pet food for cats and dogs - a valued and distinctive part of the service they provide.

For many of the vulnerable and isolated residents it supports, pets are a primary source of companionship, and by providing pet food the Pantry ensures that no one is ever forced to choose between their own nutrition and caring for their pets.

Speaking about the Pantry and our recent donation, Angie Prince, Sales Director for Bloor Homes' Midlands region, said:

β€œThe Mickleover Community Pantry is doing truly vital work for some of the most vulnerable people in the community. We were genuinely moved by the compassion and dedication behind this initiative, and we're proud that our Community Fund can help families, individuals – and their pets.”

Family become neighbours at Kings Hill Park, Rochford! 🏑πŸ₯° are now Bloor homeowners at Kings Hill Park having followed in their daughter, .x's footsteps who moved here last year!

So, what led Megan to making the first move?

"We were first time buyers and initially had reservations about buying a new build, but after a drive by visit one afternoon in June, the wonderful team in the sales office showed us around the show homes at Kings Hill Park and urged us to research Bloor Homes for ourselves online.

"They [Bloor] came up leaps and bounds beyond other developers in reviews online. None of the other homes we'd viewed met our requirements.

We both work full time jobs and with a 2 year old on our hands, we were time poor - but, our Buxton home had everything we wanted. We could easily reach London for my husband's work, we had fantastic schools within a few minutes walk, the area is wonderful and suited us perfectly. Within 6 weeks we had the keys and have never looked back! We're very happy and have had a smooth experience."

But it wasn't just Megan's home which led her parents to move here. Paul explains:

"Having seen our daughter and her family move into a Buxton home. my wife, Karen and I were really impressed by the quality of the [Bloor] homes. But what sold the idea of a Bloor home to us was the exceptional care they received, especially from Nathan, the Site Manager.

"We wanted to be closer to family and be on-hand grandparents, so we spoke with Jake in the sales team who showed us The Wyatt showhome. We instantly fell in love with it, especially the open-plan kitchen, dining and family space. It felt perfect for our family life.

"However, we needed to sell our own house, where we'd been living for 26-years, and so Jake explained to us about Assisted Move. We went ahead and amazingly sold our house within just a week!

"We've loved watching our home be built, and choosing our own options and upgrades. We moved in on the 30th June and never looked back. We're so excited to create many happy family memories in our beautiful new home."

Keys first, passport second! πŸ”‘β›°οΈ Huge congratulations to .bewdley.bybloorhomes who completed on their new Bloor home this summer, just before setting off on their travels to Norway. What a way to celebrate getting the keys! πŸŽ‰

Now back, we caught up with our new homeowners to find out what led them to buying at Bloor Homes at Mindenhurst, Surrey, and what it was about The Bewdley that caught their eye:

"What led me to buying the Bloor house was that after viewing other new build developers such as Taylor Wimpey, Cala, etc, Bloor homes just felt better built, had better interiors, and just felt like home.

"The Bewdley was the happiest mix of a large and medium size house, and with 4-bedrooms, a nice size kitchen / diner, and we ABSOLUTELY love the massive living room. Having a decent size garden, a big garage and private drive also swayed our decision.

"Another reason was that although a lot of other more established, older homes in Surrey were desirable, the lack of having to renovate was a massive pull.

"Living in a new build neighbourhood also brings excitement of what will come and what could happen to the area - in a good way!"

Next on the cards for our new homeowners is to move into their 4-bed new Bloor home and we're excited to follow their journey. Follow .bewdley.bybloorhomes to see their new chapter unfold! 🏑
