Year 6 Leavers
Congratulations to our Year 6 children as they move on to the next stage of their journey. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them, not just for what they have achieved, but for the kind, resilient and aspirational young people they have become.
Today was a lovely celebration of all the memories, friendships and achievements made during their time at Old Stratford, and we know they will continue to achieve amazing things in the future.
Well done to the whole Year 6 family (children, parents and community) and good luck on your next step, you will always be part of the Old Stratford family!

We're proud to achieve the School Games Silver Mark!
We are so happy to share that Old Stratford Primary School has been awarded the School Games Silver Mark for the first time! This award recognises our commitment to providing sporting opportunities for our children across the school.
While we are incredibly proud of this achievement, we also know that this is just one step on our journey. We are proud of the progress over the past year, but we are ambitious and excited to continue building on this success to provide even more opportunities for every child to be active, take part, compete and enjoy sport.
A huge thank you to our staff, children, families and everyone who has supported school sport this year. Here's to continuing our journey together!
βοΈ A massive well done to our incredible Year 5 and 6 children on their fantastic performances of Frozen! βοΈ
Over the last two days, our talented cast took to the stage for three amazing performances, and we couldn't be prouder of every single one of them.
From solos and duets to confidently delivering lines, choreography and bringing the story to life, the children shone from start to finish. Their hard work and dedication were clear for everyone to see, and they should all be incredibly proud of what they achieved.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the children. Performing to such supportive audiences made the experience even more special and one the children will remember.
Finally, thank you to all of the staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the production possible, with a special mention to our Year 6 team.

Day 3 β What a Fantastic Finish! π
We wrapped up our residential with an epic game of laser tag, the perfect way to end an unforgettable few days!
The children have been incredible throughout the entire trip. They have embraced every challenge, supported one another, stepped outside their comfort zones and created memories that will last a lifetime.
We were especially proud to hear the centre staff commend the children for their outstanding attitude, behaviour and willingness to get involved. They have been exceptional, representing our school, their families and themselves with pride.

Day 2 of our Residential! π
What another excellent day we've had! We honestly could not be prouder of the children and everything they have achieved.
Today has been packed with exciting activities, including axe throwing, low ropes above the water, raft building and bushcraft. The children have approached every challenge with so much enthusiasm and resilience, encouraging one another every step of the way.
The high standards have continued throughout, with high quality room inspections and a consistently positive attitude from everyone. It has been wonderful to see the values we promote every day in school being shown in a completely different environment.
The children continue to be fantastic ambassadors for our school, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. We can't wait for our final day together!

Day 1 of our Residential! π
What a fantastic first day we've had! The children have thrown themselves into every challenge, taking part in paddle boarding, archery and the zipline.
We are incredibly proud of them all. They have been brilliant throughout the day and, as always, have represented our school exceptionally well with their politeness, kindness and excellent behaviour.
Every child has excelled in today's activities, showing resilience, teamwork and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Looking Ahead to a Warm Week
To help children stay cool, all children are welcome to come to school in their PE kits throughout the week, regardless of which day they normally have PE. This will help everyone stay comfortable in the warmer temperatures.
As always, we will continue to monitor the weather closely and adapt the school day where needed. This may include:
-Adjusting break and lunchtime arrangements to make greater use of shaded areas.
-Ensuring children have regular opportunities to drink water throughout the day.
-Adapting or shortening PE lessons and other physical activities where appropriate.
-Bringing children indoors if temperatures become too high.
Please help by ensuring your child:
- Brings a named water bottle to school every day.
- Wears a sun hat or cap.
- Arrives with sun cream already applied before school (if required).
Thank you for your continued support. By working together, we can help ensure everyone stays safe, comfortable and ready to enjoy another fantastic week of learning.
