⚽️ What a start for our 1st Years as they begin their coaching journey with The Irish Football AssociationEducation & Employability Course 🙌. First up was their Grassroots Coaching award and what better way to kick things off than with plenty of fun, energy and lots of practical activities.

A brilliant first day of learning, developing new skills and getting stuck into coaching. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the journey brings! Well done everyone…this is just the beginning 👏⚽️

What an incredible evening of celebrations ⚽️🙌🏻

Absolutely amazing to see 5 of our students come over to share their fantastic achievement with myself and for allowing me to photobomb their pic 😂…..Congratulations to Cliftonville Corinthians being crowned Women’s Academy League champions of 2026 👏.

On top of that, a few of those students had a double celebration, as the Cliftonville Ladies senior team also lifted the league title 🏆🔴⚪️, huge congratulations to all the players and coaches involved. What a night to remember, and what a fantastic achievement for everyone involved! 👏❤️

Very happy to see 16 of our students coaching at Strandtown Primary School, working with the future generation of young girls in football ⚽️❤️.

It’s fantastic to see them all putting their skills, knowledge and passion into practice, while inspiring the next generation to get involved, have fun and develop their love for the game. They are also fortunate to have fantastic mentors every week supporting and guiding them along the way, helping them grow in confidence and develop as coaches. 🙌

The future of girls’ football is in great hands ⚽️

Another busy week for our 1st Year Students & Interns - Peace Plus Program 🙌🏻

Our 1st year students and interns continued their learning this week in Inclusion & Diversity training, developing their understanding and skills to create positive, inclusive experiences for everyone. They also got active with a fun basketball practical session 🏀, putting their skills into practice and preparing for their upcoming delivery sessions in Primary Schools.

A great mix of learning, teamwork, practical experience and, of course, plenty of fun along the way 🙌

⚽ Belfast MET Boys vs Lagan College - U18 BDSSFA ⚽

A tough afternoon for our Belfast MET boys against Lagan College. Our boys worked hard and had some good spells of play, however Lagan were the stronger team on the day and deserved the win, credit to them for their performance.

Plenty to learn from and plenty to work on in training….we go again 💪🏻⚽️

⚽ 2nd Year Coach Education with The Irish Football Association program

Our 2nd Year students have been developing their coaching knowledge and practical skills by focusing on Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) and how these can be developed through fun, engaging games.

They explored how to design and adapt activities to help primary school children develop key skills such as:

Running
Jumping
Balancing
Throwing
Catching
Landing
Coordination
Agility

The focus was on creating simple, inclusive and enjoyable games that allow children to practise these fundamental skills while staying active and having fun. This was a great opportunity for our students to put their coaching theory into practice and develop activities that can be used within primary school PE and coaching environments alongside their placements.

⚽ Fantastic to see Sienna out on placement!

As part of her Developing Coaching Skills module, Sienna is gaining valuable hands-on experience and putting her learning into practice in a real coaching environment.

Our fantastic external partnership with The Irish Football Association provides opportunities for our students to gain real-life experiences where it matters….developing confidence, skills and understanding through practical involvement. It’s brilliant to see our students taking these opportunities and continuing to develop as future coaches. 👏⚽

🌟 Past Pupil 🌟
It’s wonderful to welcome our past pupil, Sienna, back to Parkhall! 💙

Sienna is now an IFA coach and is currently leading our Year 3 and Year 4 classes through the fantastic UEFA Disney Playmakers programme. ⚽️✨
Sienna has also recently set up her own coaching business, which we wish her every success with.

It’s lovely to see our former pupils returning to inspire and support the next generation of Parkhall children! 💫

A Great Morning for Our 1st year students from Belfast Met 👌

Our 1st year students had a fantastic morning as part of Pillar 1 of the Plus Sport Program, funded by Peace Plus, the 12 week course is delivered by the fantastic Sport Changes Life team

Our students began the morning with the OCN Diversity in Society course, exploring diversity, inclusion and the importance of creating positive experiences for everyone. The learning then continued with a practical session in the sports hall, where students put their skills into action to prep for the next stage of the program where they’ll go into Primary Schools across Belfast to deliver fun, inclusive sporting activities for younger pupils.

Definitely a brilliant morning of learning, teamwork and practical preparation….We’re very excited to see our first years take their new skills into local schools next month and inspire the next generation through sport.
