Discord gives young people a space to chat, play games and join communities based around shared interests.

While it can be a positive way to connect with friends, there are also important risks for parents and educators to understand.

Our latest guide highlights:
• Contact with strangers
• Harassment and harmful behaviour
• Exposure to inappropriate content
• Gaming and socialising becoming a distraction
• Spending and subscription risks

It also shares practical advice on using Discord’s Family Centre, reviewing privacy and spending settings, talking openly about suspicious behaviour and agreeing clear expectations around screen time.

👀Something very exciting is coming to our school field 👀

Our brilliant staff are working alongside OPAL to create the most incredible outdoor space, fuelling pupils’ imagination, creativity and joy.

In the coming weeks, we will be asking you to help us to locate lots of weird and wonderful things that will help us elevate pupil playtimes and we CAN’T WAIT to show you!

All money raised in tomorrow’s Strong Man sessions will help us to make the play space of your children’s dreams! 🌟💜💪🏻

Our core value for September is determination. In today’s assembly, we talked about the power of ‘yet’ with our story ‘The Thing Lou Couldn’t Do’. Just like Lou, we may not be able to do something right now, but with time, commitment and practise, we will eventually achieve our goals.

Let’s make 2026-27 a year to be proud of! 💪🏻💜
