🎓 GCSE Results Day is just 24 hours away!

Results will be available to collect from 8:30am until 10:00am on Thursday 20 August.

Please enter the Academy through Main Reception and make your way to the Main Hall.

If you are unable to collect your results on Thursday, please email [email protected] to arrange for us to email them to your Academy email address or to nominate an individual to collect on your behalf.

🎓 Celebrating our Year 13 students! 🎓

Students at The King’s Academy are celebrating an excellent set of results today, with many progressing to university, employment and further training across the country.

⭐ 21% of A Level grades were awarded at A or A*
⭐ Nearly half of all A Level grades were B or higher
⭐ Two thirds of applied general and technical grades were awarded at Distinction or higher
⭐ Over 90% were awarded at Merit or higher
⭐ Nearly 80% of university applicants secured their first-choice destination
⭐ Around 30% are progressing to Russell Group universities

Eight students achieved a clean sweep of A*/A grades and equivalents, with destinations including Cambridge, Durham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and York.

We are incredibly proud of all our Year 13 students — not only for their academic achievements, but for the character they have developed during their time at The King’s Academy.

We are fortunate to have some fantastic sports facilities at The King's Academy and pleased to be able to make them available for external hire in the evenings and on Saturdays, including our 2G All Weather Pitch, Sports Hall and Dance Studio. With both A-Level and GCSE Results Days just around the corner, we’re looking forward to celebrating your achievements and supporting you as you take your next steps.

A-Level students – keep an eye on our social media channels over the next few days for important information about collecting your results.

Information for GCSE Results Day will follow nearer the time.

We are so proud to announce that our Youth Theatre production of Legally Blonde Jr. has been nominated for a NODA Award!

A huge congratulations also goes to Violet Renwick, who has received a nomination for her outstanding performance as Elle Woods.

Being recognised with these nominations is such an incredible honour, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved in bringing this production to life.

Now we eagerly await the final results in October… Fingers crossed, and thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way!

CALLING PARENTS AND CARERS From September 2026, eligibility for Free School Meals is expanding to all children from households in receipt of Universal Credit. Transitional protections which have been in place since 2018 which meant students retained access to free meals even when household incomes rose are ending. In future, eligibility for free meals will be checked every year.

If you haven't already done so please take action by 31 August to ensure our records are updated before the start of the new school year, otherwise eligibility will cease when the summer term ends in July.

Needing to purchase new school uniform for September?

The last day for orders to guarantee delivery before the start of the new academic year is Friday 31 July. Please visit EAS Schoolwear's website (link in comments) to size up your requirements and to order.

As the academic year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our students and families a fantastic summer break.

We hope you enjoy this well-earned time to rest, recharge and reflect on the many wonderful achievements of the past year.
