Congratulations to the Y5/6 Girls from St Wilfrids Catholic Primary School Monkgate, York who finished in 5th place at the North Yorkshire Finals at Harrogate Cricket Club today.

The girls showed fantastic teamwork, determination and sporting values throughout the day, competing against some of the strongest schools in the county. We are incredibly proud of their achievement and the way they represented their school. Well done girls! 👏🏻🌟

Huge congratulations to St Alphonsus' Catholic Primary School who today secured an outstanding 3rd place at the North Yorkshire Finals in Harrogate, earning qualification for the Yorkshire County Finals in Leeds on 30th June!

The girls showcased exceptional skill, determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the competition. Every player played a vital role in this fantastic achievement and they should be incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished.

This success comes just days after being crowned NPCAT Team of the Year at our Sports Awards, highlighting what a special group of young athletes they are both on and off the field.

• Spread your arms and legs to stay stable
• Gently move your hands if needed
• Once calm, signal for help or swim to safety

Their creativity and initiative, from promoting physical activity during the holidays to introducing a pupil suggestion box, have helped ensure every pupil has a voice in school sport.
