🏆💟 SPORTS AWARDS 2026 💟🏆

Although St Benedict's R.C. Primary School were unable to attend our recent Sports Awards at The Riverside Stadium, it was a pleasure for Mrs Harding to visit the school yesterday to present their well-deserved awards in person.

Congratulations to everyone at St. Benedict’s on receiving the Highly Commended School of the Year award – a fantastic recognition of the school’s commitment to providing high-quality PE and sporting opportunities for all pupils.

The visit also celebrated some outstanding individual achievements:

🏆 Two Year 6 Sports Personalities of the Year
⭐ An individual Contribution to Sport Award
💎 The Sports Leaders, who received their Diamond Award – the highest accolade within the NPCAT Sport Leadership Passport Programme.

It was wonderful to celebrate these achievements with pupils and staff, recognising the dedication, leadership and enthusiasm that make PE and sport such an important part of school life.

Congratulations to all of the award winners and to the whole St. Benedict’s community on this fantastic recognition! 👏🏅

With amber and red heat warnings in place across the south of England and Wales, it's vital your family knows how to stay safe around water. ☀️

When UK average maximum temperatures reach 25°C or above, accidental drowning risk increases fivefold compared to days around 10°C.

Start the conversation early and help children understand how to stay safe in, on, and around water.

We’ve got free resources such as bookmarks and posters to help support those important safety chats.
