Here is some information of activities happening over the summer holidays to keep the children busy!

School is now closed for the summer holidays!

We’ve had another fantastic and very busy year at Archibald. A special thank you to all the parents and carers who have made so much effort this school year to help ensure that their children have had the best opportunities possible; we appreciate your support.

We hope you all have a lovely break with lots of fun in the sun! ☀️

School reopens to pupils on Thursday 3rd September.

Today, we held a very special assembly for our headteacher Mrs Jefferies, who is retiring at the end of term. Each year group prepared something for the occasion. Artwork, poems and songs were shared, creating lovely memories of Archibald for Mrs Jefferies to treasure!

This was a wonderful celebration to thank her for her leadership, dedication and commitment to the Archibald Primary School community over the last 19 years. Throughout her time at the school, Mrs Jefferies has inspired pupils, supported staff and helped create a nurturing environment in which children can thrive. Her positive influence will be felt for many years to come. On behalf of pupils, staff, governors and families, we wish Mrs Jefferies a long, happy and well-deserved retirement!

💯 Archibald Attendance Challenge 💯

Each week, all pupils with 100% attendance for the week are awarded an Attendance Challenge Token which they then place in our token jars.
Last week, we had 318 pupils with 100% attendance!

Congratulations to the pupils whose names were drawn out of the jars to receive attendance prizes in
assembly!

⭐️ Star of the Week ⭐️

Congratulations to the pupils who were awarded ‘Laura Leadership’ awards in our final celebration assemblies of this academic year on Friday morning!

Class 8 have designed and made their own Roman shields.🛡️
They’ve been using the shields in the playground, trying out different formations the Roman Army used such as the turtle, orb and wedge.

A reminder that school closes early on Friday 17th July at 1:30pm for the end of the school year.

As part of Health and Fitness Week, sports leaders from ‘School’s Out, Sport’s In’ lead UV Beats sessions for our very excited pupils! Everyone loved using their glow sticks to hit the beat of the music. A great way to exercise and have fun!

⚽️ A summer term of sporting success continued with 2 of our football teams giving outstanding performances in recent competitions! The Y3 team won gold medals at their tournament 🥇and the Y2 team received well-deserved medals for taking part. Well done, footballers! 🌟

⭐️ Star of the Week ⭐️

Congratulations to the pupils who won our ‘Fair Play’ awards during Health and Fitness Week! These special awards were for dedication and commitment to fair play throughout the week and were presented by class teachers in our celebration assemblies on Friday. 💫
