Compass Community Hub provides FREE learning and support to anyone aged 16+ living in the UK, whatever your employment circumstances. Compass Community Hub is located in the Gurnos, Merthyr Tydfil and is funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund. Our range of training and support can help you learn something new, make new friends or increase your work related skills for employability. O

Looking to learn a new skill or bring your creative ideas to life? Join our 8-week Sewing Course, delivered by Reaching Wider at Compass Community Hub.

📅 Starts Wednesday 23rd September
🕤 9:30am - 12:00pm

🗓️ 8-week course

✨ What you'll learn:

Weeks 1-2: Get familiar with sewing machines while making bags and/or cushions
Weeks 3-5: Learn simple clothing upcycling techniques
Weeks 6-8: Create a project of your choice, from pattern making to designing and sewing something from scratch

Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to build your confidence, this course will help you develop practical sewing skills, explore your creativity and create unique handmade items.

🎨 10am - 12pm | Family Handprint Craft Session, create a special keepsake using your child's handprints and take home a beautiful piece of artwork to treasure.

🧘‍♀️ 1pm - 3pm | Mindfulness & Crystal Chakra Balancing (16+) Take some time for yourself, relax, recharge, and explore mindfulness and crystal chakra balancing in a welcoming space.

✅ Both sessions are drop-in, so there's no need to book.
