We posted a few weeks ago about the kids building a raft and this week we got it in the water with fabulous success and yes we were super excited!

There's always something a little bit different going on here like moving logs and making seats out of them, now that the hammocks have come down for the winter the children wanted somewhere to relax in their free time so this is what happened!

- Laura

🌿 What days do you do @ the land and what is your role?
- Mondays and Tuesdays, i am the owner and Director of @ the land. Teaching animal care, horticulture and land management.

🌿 What qualities do you bring to home Ed @ the land?
- 18 years of Teaching experience and developing the land over the last 12 years.

🌿 Why is @ the land important to you?
- The land is important to me as it helps me connect with nature which grounds me and helps support my mental and physical wellbeing

🌿 ⁠Who inspires you?
- My mom for her drive and determination and my Dad for breaking societal norms and showing me a different way to life

🌿 What hobbies do you do?
- My hobbies include horse riding, cooking and travelling

🌿 Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
- I worked in Disney land florida at 19 for 3 months and at 21 I lived with tribe in Fiji.

🌿 What’s your go-to snack?
- Always crisps

🌿 What’s your favourite colour?
- Turquoise

🌿 ⁠If you could wake up tomorrow with a new ability, what would it be?
- The ability to fly

- Building my own house

🌿 What days do you do @ the land and what is your role?
- Monday and every other Tuesday for the home education session. I facilitate learning through nature.

🌿 What qualities do you bring to home Ed @ the land?
- I feel that I bring positivity and an enthusiasm for nature based living.

🌿 Why is @ the land important to you?
- The land is important to me as it gives an opportunity for children to connect with nature and learn through animal care and horticulture whilst learning self sufficiency.

🌿 ⁠Who inspires you?
- My mom for her calm and peaceful nature and my Dad for his love of growing food.

🌿 What hobbies do you do?
- My hobbies include crocheting, knitting, reading and foraging.

🌿 Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
- I train in Muay Thai and enjoy hiking.

🌿 What’s your go-to snack?
- Always crisps, salt and vinegar!

- Green 💚

- The ability to be better at Maths.

- Spinning the alpacas fleece and travelling to new places

We have some super exciting news, @ the land is now an approved alternative provision with Coventry Council 😊.

So as well as supporting home education we can now support children that are in the school system but need something different.

Laura Jayne has put so much effort into getting this status, its well deserved and we are excited to be able to support even more children.
