Monday we spent some time on our team work skills by building a new chicken run for our roosters.
Everyone worked together to follow the limited instructions and problem solve 😊.

We love teaching the children about the animals and growing food, however we also have the space and freedom to follow some of their interests.

How do engines work? Putting up a fence? Plumbing? Drawing? We can show you 😊.

We've started a new project 😊. The kids have started work on a new herb patch/sensory area, everyone worked really hard preparing the ground ready for the herbs to go in soon.

Some of the children decided to get a different education on Monday. We had a plumber on site and he was happy to talk through and show the kids how to put new pipe work and taps in.
We do love so ad hoc education 😃.

We've also been reaping the rewards of our earlier hard work as we start to harvest some fruit and vegetables.

Some of the children have discovered that they really like veg, some have tried new veggies and fruits and some still aren't so keen 🤷‍♀️

We are even still getting some last minute bits in and our polytunnel helps us grow for longer periods.

The Alpacas are getting so much more confident with us and also the children with the. This is largely due to the children just sitting quietly with them sometimes and then hand feeding them their favourite dried peas.

They've now got eye masks to help keep them flies off their faces in the warmer weather, we do think they look a bit funny though. What do you think?

During August there's the opportunity to spend a day at the land for any children, home educated or not.
Why not come and see what we do?
