Lucy’s Little Angel’s Childminding will have a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday position available from September 2026 with a 7:30/8:00 start and a 18:00 finish (can be flexible) for a baby aged 9 months +

Position is all year round ✅
Government funded hours accepted ✅
Nurturing and loving home from home ✅
8 years experience level 2 + 3 ✅
Paediatric First Aid Trained ✅

This week is… PIRATE week 🏴‍☠️🦜
Were so excited to get stuck in and do lots of pirate themed activities 🖤

The children are very interested in pirates at the moment so to support their next steps we will be using the coins and hiding them ‘under’ the blanket and putting them ‘next to’ the ships to work on positional language. We have another child focusing on counting ‘one to one correspondence’ so we will be putting that into practice by counting the pirates or coins. By using the childrens interests it means they are more likely to learn these new skills because they are taking it all in rather than doing a boring activity they have no interest in - they will not be focused or gain any value from it 🏴‍☠️

🍁We’re getting ready for Autumn🍁

We have home made play dough to shape and sculpt into pumpkins / leaves / acorns / or anything the children choose 🍂 we will go on a nature walk to find real leaves to use. We can print the leaves onto the dough to make beautiful patterns 🍃 this is great for fine motor skills and covers multiple parts of the EYFS. It encourages literacy, maths, physical development, imagination and creativity, personal, social and emotional and understanding the world - the natural world 🍃

🚀Space tray this week 👽👩‍🚀🪐
Learning to count and recognise numbers. The children used chalks to trace the numbers and to extend this activity for the older children we matched quantities to the numbers 🔭

Our new reading area 📚🐛

Our new dressing up area 👠👗👑👜🕶️
