Struggling with ARFID? I have received a wonderful testimonial from one of my parents.
It was her family that set me in the ArFID journey, learning, discovering and understanding how to help these kids overcome this condition. They came for baking classes but now, with new training, I’m hoping e can really send them on their way to happy and free eating x
Since starting sessions with Anna in January 2026, we’ve seen such a positive difference in our children’s confidence around food. Through her cooking activities, she creates a safe, supportive, and fun environment where they feel comfortable trying new things at their own pace.
Anna has a real understanding of our children’s individual needs and is wonderful at adapting her approach to support them as autistic children. She is patient, kind, encouraging, and has built a fantastic relationship with them. We always seem to have fun in her sessions, and the children genuinely look forward to going each week.
The progress our children have made has been incredible. Our teenage son has tried cheese for the first time after refusing it his whole life. He has also prepared a recipe using bananas – a food that has always caused him the most anxiety and upset. Our 10-year-old daughter even ate a quiche, despite finding eggs completely repulsive. These may seem like small steps to some people, but for our family they are huge milestones, and we know they wouldn’t have happened without Anna’s patience, understanding, and encouragement.
We are so grateful for the care, expertise, and genuine compassion Anna has shown our family. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for support with ARFID, particularly those with autistic children or children with additional needs.
