Our Y6 leavers trip was a total hit! From climbing, sliding and adventuring at Fun Farm, to a McDonald’s feast and the all‑important Daisy Made ice cream, the children loved every minute.

Such a fantastic way to celebrate their time with us — full of joy, friendship and memories they’ll carry forward.

Last year, we were awarded £500 when we came third in the Tesco Stronger Starts Grant (blue tokens) in the Tesco Market Rasen store.

We are pleased to say that with this grant, we have been able to buy some new Fiction books for our school library! The children had an input as to which books we bought in order to inspire a love of reading for everyone!

A huge thank you to Groundwork and Tesco Market Rasen Community for giving us this opportunity 📚

🌞 Sports Day Reminder – Third Time Lucky! 🏃‍♀️🏅
The line markings are the work of our newest grounds team member, Mrs Grummell. She brought enthusiasm, commitment and a creative eye… we kindly ask for your forgiveness and encourage everyone to focus on the runners rather than the artwork! 😄
Sports Day (attempt number 3!) will hopefully begin as soon as possible after drop-off tomorrow . Please bear with us while we set up seating (option to bring your own) get the children organised and complete the final preparations before we start.
A few reminders:
👟 Children can come to school in their sports kit and stay in it all day.
🧢 Please bring a hat, a named water bottle and apply sun cream before school.
- Wear team colours
🍦 Ices will be on sale for visitors at £1 each (cash only).
We’re looking forward to finally getting Sports Day underway. Fingers crossed for sunshine, smiles and some memorable races! ☀️

Our Leavers' Assembly this afternoon was a wonderful way to celebrate our Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the next chapter of their journey.
Mr Hempsall opened the assembly with a heartfelt introduction, reminding everyone that every challenge can be overcome with determination, resilience, and belief in ourselves. He compared this to his recent zip line achievement! Our pupils then shared touching speeches, expressing their thanks, favourite memories, and appreciation for their time at school, followed by some lovely singing.
Mrs Grummell hosted the formal awards ceremony, where we celebrated each child's individual achievements. Every pupil received a trophy, gifts, a treasured memory book, an autograph book, and the very special gift of a leavers' hoodie from FOFS
To end our celebration, we enjoyed a wonderful slideshow of photo memories that had everyone laughing and reminiscing. Families, staff, and pupils then shared refreshments, took lots of photos, and enjoyed spending time together before saying their goodbyes.
We will miss you all so much. Have an amazing summer - enjoy making your final memories together this week before your exciting new adventures begin. Good luck, Year 6!
