It’s spring this week in class so our Pose of the Week is Tweety Bird to reflect the new baby birds being born!

Tweety Bird Pose is a good way to gently stretch out the shoulders.

You can be any type of bird you like – a robin, a chick, a seagull, a pigeon…! Let me know which you are in the comments!

One way of easing your child’s worries is by passing them on to a character. You can do this with a worry monster (which can be bought or crafted) – your child draws or writes their worry on a slip of paper and feeds it to the monster who will gobble it up! A similar idea is that of worry dolls. These are small woollen dolls, again, you can buy or make your own, and they go under a pillow to take away worries whilst your child sleeps.

Treasure Chest Pose (also known as butterfly) gently stretches and opens the hips and can calm the mind.

I shared a post a couple of weeks ago about my love of nature. The beach or by the water is my absolute favourite but woods or forest come a close second! I find being among trees very peaceful and relaxing.

Today we had lots of fun visiting the carnival where we went on exciting rides and to see a circus show! The children tried really hard with all the poses. A favourite ride was definitely the log flume in which they actually got wet!

This week in class we are having fun at the circus and our Pose of the Week is horse.
Horse Pose stretches the hips and thighs and also strengthens the shoulders, core and legs. Just like last week’s aeroplane, it’s a good one for adding sound effects to!

Aeroplane is our Pose of the Week for our vehicles-based adventure in class.

Aeroplane Pose is great fun and gently challenges the balance. This is a variation for younger yogis. Feel free to add sound effects!

This breathing technique is a bit silly but has a lovely cooling effect and feels refreshing on the throat! This is cleansing for the body and mind.

Today our adventure took us to the beach. We visited an island 🏝, getting there using a favourite pose - rowing boat!🛶After the story there was time to build some sandcastles.

Boat Pose really challenges the core muscles to build strength and is great for the lower back and internally, the kidney area.
