SKIGB, Asano Hanshi - Alumni & Friends This group is for anyone and everyone that has ever been part of the SKIGB under Asano Hanshi, 10th Dan. Ossssssssssss

Whether you took part for one year or for decades you are welcome. The purpose of this group is to share stories and experiences from your time in the SKIGB. Asano Hanshi has recently asked Guy Stephenson to document the history of SKIGB. This is a big job and Guy currently has an office full of old magazines, newspaper, articles, photos, etc, etc
The book is starting to take shape (18000 words at

present) and Guy is keen to gather more information, old pictures and anecdotes about the individual experiences of Karate-ka throughout the years. If you have anything that you would like to share please inbox us. To help jog memories we will post a few topics or pictures from time to time (dojo stories, championships national and international, victories/defeats, SKI on tour, old instructors, bygone clubs, the early years, the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, A.G.M.’s etc and of course.....experiences in the pub... If you were a supporter (parents, partners, siblings) we are interested to hear from you as well. Please help us spread the word by liking this page and inviting anyone that you know who has ever been involved with the SKIGB. We intend for this page to bring back fond memories and we will keep you posted on the progress of the publication!
