The Snug - at home childcare

We now have a Library Box available for the children to borrow books and enjoy at home! 📚✨
Reading is a wonderful way to spark imagination, build language skills, and create special moments together 💖

It will be placed near the door (outside on nice days or in the porch on rainy days ☔️)

Two of the OG Snuglets are graduating to full time school this week. We will miss them so much and are all so proud of them 💖🩵 A fab day celebrating their brilliance with a party, bubbles and play 🥳

🥞Pancake Day🥞 what a fun morning! We’ve had so much fun with pancake breakfasts, role play in the play room and even took the fun outside in the sunshine ☀️🥞Practicing fine motor skills and making marks in the flour as well as measuring, weighing and tipping. We even took our play to the water table 🙊 It was a messy one but a fun one 🤩

📕📚World Book Week📚📕 Our focus book for this week is We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. We all joined in with the rhymes and refrains today and used our sensory table to create the sounds of the story 😍😍 The swishy swashy grass and stumble trip sticks were some of our favourites!! We then chose our own books and asked to share them in the story tent ⛺️

Henna mark making ✋🌙✨we read some beautiful stories this morning about Eid and saw how to make henna tattoos - we decided to have a go at making our own 😍

✈️🌍We’ve had some snuglets travelling on aeroplanes last week which sparked some great play around going on holiday! We created a make shift passport control office and filled in our passports ✏️ We spoke about the different parts of an areoplane and then the children grabbed some chairs and made their own areoplane to travel to Spain 🇪🇸✈️😍 so much fun!!

A rainy day here at The Snug ☔️💧we’ve been watching the rain drops out the window and decided to collect the rain water in a jar. When we brought it in, we smelled the rain and felt it with our fingers and then we used it to make beautiful rainy day watercolour paintings 🎨🌈🌧️
