Perfect For Learning I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and private tutor. For the past couple of years, I have been a cover teacher, teaching across KS1 and KS2.

Fun in the garden today, hunting for all the little ‘oranges’ 🟠 and purple flowers 🪻. He spent ages happily transferring them between containers 🪣, completely in his own little world.

I was surprised when he found a ripe plum 🟣 and proudly named it — I’m sure it’s thanks to The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛. Amazing what they remember from books! 📚

We spent Wednesday morning 'on the farm' with Movementum dance school 🐮🐷🐴

Victor totally wanted to do his own thing but did stop to have a wiggle and follow the dance moves at some points. He even managed to turn off the music during one of the songs 🤦‍♀️ I regularly quote Madness to him... 'You're an embarrassment'! 🤣

I had hoped he wouldn't discover the messy play trays but once he did he delighted in sorting the radishes and potatoes. 🥔

Overnight oats are a winner for my toddler's breakfast! Especially in this hot weather 🥵

- 30g of rolled oats
- 60ml of whole milk
- a spoonful of Greek yogurt
- choice of fruit: mashed banana, grated apple, sliced strawberries, crushed blueberries, squashed raspberries, diced kiwi, quartered grapes, chopped cherries
- stir, cover, and refrigerate overnight
- serve chilled or gently warmed

This simple matching activity kept my 21-month-old entertained for ages! 🔢

He loves numbers at the moment - pointing them out and proudly naming them (mainly 2 and 8 whatever they are). He enjoys practising counting which is a great way to keep him occupied during a nappy change or while I'm trying to cut his nails. It doesn't matter that he starts at 4 says 5, 6 then skips to 8, 9. 🤣

Our Reception learning packs were one of the very first resource packs I created. It’s been a little while since I’ve made one for a customer but I recently added them to our Etsy catalogue again.

Each pack can be tailored with Phase 2 or Phase 3 phonics reading activities, depending on your child’s confidence. They also include maths activities that build early skills in ordering numbers, counting and number bonds to 10.

A simple, engaging way to support those first steps into school life.

Enjoyed a morning stroll along the walls to our local play café today. Nice to meet up with other mums and have a chat while we walked to the café ☕🧮🧸

Victor is the perfect age now to get stuck in with the beautiful role play toys and independently go up the stairs and down the slide. Sometimes I wonder if he's too confident 😅

We both had a lovely time and it was good to get some fresh air 🍃

Tried the loo roll tube drop while I prepared breakfast yesterday... 🥣

I couldn't get a good photo. He tipped all the caps out of the tray. It lasted about 30 seconds before he ripped the tubes down and carried the two red caps around the kitchen saying 'red'. 🔴 Clearly his favourite colour 🤣
