Our Year 3 and Year 4 recently took part in landscape photography workshops and explored the rural beauty of Constable Country, where the painter John Constable was born. The painter celebrated for his revolutionary approach to landscape art was inspired by our local area and his works. A selection of our children’s photographs have been submitted for consideration for the ‘Unconventional Constable’ exhibition at the Constable Memorial Hall, East Bergholt.

Why does Brooklands logo have a horse? Brooklands is located on a hill overlooking the Stour Estuary. The horse in our school logo represents the palfrey horses, which, during the Middle Ages, occupied the land upon which the school is now built. Palfreys were the most expensive and highly-bred type of riding horse.
