☕🧁 Join us for our Macmillan Coffee Morning! 🧁☕

We're inviting parents and carers to join us at Inscape House School on Thursday 25 September, from 10:30am to 11:30am, for a morning of tea, coffee, cake and conversation, all while raising money for the fantastic work of Macmillan Cancer Support.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, plus any donations, big or small, helps Macmillan continue their important work.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you in the school hall. 💚

📚✨ Roald Dahl Day Fancy Dress is Tomorrow! ✨📚

Don't forget, tomorrow (Friday 11 September) is our Roald Dahl Day Fancy Dress Day!

Students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character. If they would rather not dress up, they are welcome to bring along a prop or item that represents a Roald Dahl character instead.

There will also be Roald Dahl-themed activities and story sessions in the library at break and lunchtime.

We can't wait to see all the fantastic costumes and celebrate the wonderful stories and imagination of one of the world's most loved children's authors! 🎩🍫🦊📖

What a fantastic day! ☀️🎉

Last weekend, we were delighted to host our very first Inscape Staff and Family Fun Day, and it was a huge success!

It was wonderful to see so many students, families, and staff come together to enjoy a fun-filled day ahead of the new school year. The event provided a great opportunity for students to reconnect with Inscape, familiarise themselves with the school environment, and begin the return to school in a positive and relaxed way.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, including face painting, inflatables, a climbing activity, a tombola, and a range of food and drinks available to purchase throughout the day.

We have received lots of positive feedback from both families and staff, with many commenting on the friendly atmosphere and sense of community. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.

We hope this will become an annual event and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another Staff and Family Fun Day next summer!

🌟 Welcome Back, Inscape House! 🌟

It's the first day of term, and we're delighted to welcome all of our students back to Inscape House School! We hope you've had a wonderful summer and are ready for an exciting year of learning, growth, and new opportunities.

📚 This week's Themes of the Week are National Read a Book Day and International Literacy Day, celebrating the joy of reading and the importance of literacy for everyone.

📖 To help get the year off to a great start, students will be receiving their Library Welcome Packs.

There’s just one week to go until we welcome our students back to Inscape House School on Monday 7 September! We hope all our students, parents and carers have enjoyed a fun-filled and relaxing summer break. 💙

📚☀️ How is your Summer Reading Challenge going? ☀️📚

There's still time for Inscape families to take part in our Family Summer Reading Challenge 2026! We'd love to hear if you're reading together over the holidays and what books you've been enjoying. 📖💙

Summer Reading Challenge details:
✨ Read together as a family
✨ Complete a simple review booklet and return it to the Library
✨ Earn an entry into our September prize draw for every book you read!

Remember, it doesn't have to be a school library book. Whether it's a favourite from home, a library find, or a brand-new adventure, every book counts.

📅 Don't forget to return your completed review booklets to the Library by Wednesday 9 September. There's still time to get reading!

Inscape House Families - have you booked yet? Join us for the Inscape House Family Fun Day! 🎉

We're looking forward to welcoming our Inscape House community, made up of student and staff families and friends, to our first ever Family Fun Day on Saturday 5 September, from 11:00am – 3:30pm.

Please note this event is not open to the general public.

What's happening? ✨
- Inflatable fun
- Craft activities
- Games and entertainment
- Food available to purchase throughout the day

🎟️ Entry is FREE, but tickets must be booked in advance.

Each ticket holder will receive 6 free activity tokens to enjoy activities during the day. Additional activities will be available for a small charge once free tokens have been used.

Tom Morrison MP was so inspired by his conversation with our student Kyra during his visit to Inscape earlier this year that he took her story all the way to Parliament! 👏

To celebrate Kyra's incredible achievement as a finalist for Pupil School Librarian of the Year, Tom tabled a Motion recognising not only her success but also the vital role school libraries play in inspiring young people to learn, grow and thrive. 📚✨

What an amazing example of one conversation making a real difference! 💙

Throughout the year, a dedicated group of our students took part in a lunchtime Poetry by Heart club, where they learnt poems by heart to perform as part of the Poetry by Heart competition.

Although they didn't progress to the national finals, they should be incredibly proud of their commitment and performances.

To celebrate their hard work, they were presented with their Highly Commended certificates and enjoyed a well-deserved celebration in the library.

Congratulations to all our wonderful poets! 📚✨👏
