We are only on day three of the new academic year, and our Year 8 students are already gaining valuable workplace experience through our Student Runner Programme.

Each day, two students work alongside our Student Services team, taking on real responsibilities and learning more about the important role the team plays within the academy.

The programme gives students an early introduction to the workplace, helping them build confidence and understand the expectations of a professional environment.

Opportunities like this form an important part of our personal development offer, preparing students for future education, employment and life beyond the academy.

1 Day To Go

Only one day left until we welcome our pupils back to Oasis Academy Leesbrook!

To ensure a calm and positive start to the new academic year, pupils will return tomorrow on a staggered timetable.

Year 7 – 8:30am
Year 9 + Year 11 – 10:00am
Year 8 – 10:30am
Year 10 – 11:20am

All pupils will finish at 3:00pm.

Before heading to school, make sure your bag is packed, your uniform is ready and you have your refillable water bottle with you.

Set your alarm, give yourself plenty of time to get ready and plan your journey.

We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow and get the new school year started!

2 Days To Go!

A reminder about mobile phones ahead of the new school year.

Following the new Government guidance on mobile phones in schools, from day one, when pupils enter the academy building, their phone must be switched off and placed inside their bag, out of sight.

This applies throughout the academy day, including lessons, break and lunchtime.

Please make sure your child is aware of this expectation before they return.

3 Days To Go!

How will your child be getting to school?

With just two days to go, now is the perfect time to plan your journey to Oasis Academy Leesbrook.

We’re lucky to be located within a large residential area, with many of our pupils living within walking distance of the academy.

There is also a bus stop just a short walk from the academy.

As we return to school, congestion around the academy can build up very quickly, particularly at the start and end of the school day. Where possible, please consider walking, cycling or using public transport rather than driving directly to the academy.

If driving is necessary, please consider parking further away and walking the final 10 minutes to help reduce congestion around the academy.

For our older pupils especially, the journey to and from school is a great opportunity to develop independence and take another step towards becoming confident, responsible young people.

Plan your route now, check your timings and make sure you know how you’re getting to Leesbrook on your first day.

4 Days To Go!

Make sure your child is fully equipped and ready to start the new school year.

Your child should have:
- A school bag big enough to hold an A4 book�
- A pencil case with pens, pencils, a ruler and other essential equipment�
- Their academy iPad, fully charged�
- A refillable water bottle. While this isn't a requirement, we strongly encourage all pupils to bring their own refillable bottle.

Year 7 reminder: Academy iPads will be issued during the first half term.

Make sure their bag is packed and ready to go for day one!

5 Days To Go!

There are only 5 days left until we get to welcome our pupils back from what we hope has been a wonderful summer holiday!

As we start our 5 day countdown, we’ll be using each day as a reminder to make sure your child is ready for .

Pupils return on Thursday 3rd September 2026.

All pupils are required to have:
-Navy Leesbrook blazer
-Black knee length skirt or black trousers
-White collared school shirt
-Black polishable formal shoes

Ties:

Year 7 – Orange
Year 8 – Green
Year 9 – Yellow
Year 10 – Blue
Year 11 – Silver
