Another week ticked off and sadly the end of my Paternity.
Back to reality tomorrow and time to be the example Declan needs.
Let’s get after it
Oh, and I’ll forgive him for pooing on my top
Your kids look to you as a role model
Or at least they should
So are you being the role model that they need or could you be doing better?
The gym can have a huge impact on how you show up for yourself, and then others
It may mean you need to set your alarm earlier (and actually get up)
But when you can sleep better knowing you set a good example it’s all worth it

We wait until…
The wedding is out of the way
We finally move house
Your baby finally has a good sleep routine
Whatever the “until then” or “once this happens” is for you.
If you’re really honest it’s a way to put things off
The things that scare you and push you out of your comfort zone…
How do I know? This was me and still is at times
But I do know this,
There will never be a right time to do what’s needed
Starting the diet
Changing careers,
Joining the gym
But it’s in the work that you are avoiding that the magic happens and when you finally get lucky
So if you’ve been putting off losing weight when you know you need to,
Or joint the gym because it’s not the right time,
Ask yourself, is it a valid reason or just a way to put off the hard work?
Despite the obstacles, you can decide at any moment to change.

You’re not alone
Whist improving what you eat is good, if you are not eating in a calorie deficit you will not lose weight
The only way you will know whether or not you are in a deficit (apart from the scales) is to track what you are eating and drinking.
