These 5 children have been reading at home. They have read 30 times which is all the way to Manchester on our class charts!

🌟CONGRATULATIONS to our lucky Attendance Winners!🌟

Each child got to choose a toy and a £20 Tesco voucher for their family.

When a child is in school for a full week (Mon - Fri), they receive a raffle ticket. Each half term, we hold a whole school assembly where raffle tickets are drawn and the lucky winners announced!

🇬🇧 Winter Olympian Brogan Crowley presented the prizes to our Key Stage 2 children which was a lovely surprise!

🐣THANK YOU to everyone who bought a ticket. We raised £231 which will go into our school fund. 🐥

This morning our children went to Oldham Parish Church to take part in an Easter Service led by Father Daniel and Father David.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Peter 1:3)

🥳We have 7 more Key Stage 1 children who have read 30 times since the beginning of February! 🥳 Each child got to choose a book to take home.

⚽⚽️Oldham Athletic are running an Easter Soccer School during the Easter holidays.

Holy Cross closes for the Easter Holiday at 3.15pm on Thursday 28th March and re-opens on Monday 8th April.

⭐CONGRATULATIONS to this week's VIPs! ⭐

🐣We will be selling Easter raffle tickets from now until Wednesday 27th March. 🐣

Tickets are £1 per strip.

You could win a wonderful Easter hamper containing Easter eggs, toys and games! There will be some runners-up prizes too.

We will be picking the winning tickets on Thursday 28th March during a whole school assembly.

🌟 CONGRATULATIONS to our first KS1 book winners! 🌟

📖 In January we challenged our Key Stage 1 children to 'Read all the way to Manchester'. 📚

To do this, they have to read at home and get their parent/carer to sign their reading record book. There are lots of Oldham landmarks along the way: the Annie Kenney statue, Oldham Library, Mahdlo, Parish Church and a tram.

Each time the child reaches an Oldham landmark, they receive a sticker, bookmark or pencil. When they reach Manchester, they get to choose a book from the special prize box!

We've got lots of children well on their way ..... keeping reading at home everyone! 🥰
