At break House leaders organised a special thank you celebration with parting gifts for our Year 13 House prefects who will sadly be leaving UGS soon: Sam (Oak), Jake (Park), Adam (Bradfield), Olivia (Orme), Alice (Bradfield), Chiedozie (Mersey) (all pictured with our House leaders), Abi (Oak), Libya (Orme) and Owen (Bradfield).
They've done an absolutely wonderful job over the last year with highlights including the Christmas party they organised for Delamere School and all their hard work fundraising towards making this such a memorable event for the children🤍not to forget their fantastic work with our younger students at House Mixer events, during House week and at our House assemblies 🎉You have all been amazing and great ambassadors, not only for your houses, but for UGS👏👏

Save the Date for the next in our series of Supercurricular lectures! This will take place on Thursday 14th May at 5pm in our theatre and will be delivered by Mr Parker on "Deadly Dose: Poisons and their uses in Fiction". All are welcome, the lecture is open to everyone, but will be of particular interest to students considering further study in chemistry. We look forward to seeing you there!

Yesterday a group of our kind-hearted Sixth Form students, accompanied by Dr Richards, undertook an 8 mile sponsored walk around the Mersey Valley Trails to raise funds for their forthcoming overseas voluntary work placement in Africa 🌍In early July they will spend 10 nights in Kenya helping to make a difference through involvement in teaching activities at local schools and in building and maintenance projects, as well as taking part in visits to the Nakuru Game Reserve, an Elephant Orphan Rescue Centre, a Giraffe Centre and the East African Great Rift Valley. Their walk raised a truly impressive £1500 and we are so proud of their commitment, compassion and drive to help others, a fantastic example of our core school values in action🤍with huge thanks to everyone who supported our students
