Tuesday intros and academy had a pretty chilled pre Easter session this week ๐ฃ Ball handling ๐๐was the focus with the academy pitching against each other to drive for a crazy catch ball while our intros practiced one handed ball skills. Some fabulous goals ๐ฅ๐ฅfrom our newest members showing how far theyโve come since beginning their netball journey. Well done to โญ๏ธโญ๏ธANNIE โญ๏ธโญ๏ธwho was our Trainer of the night. Enjoy the break and the chocolate ๐ซ

Tuesday Pathway
With end of term vibes we warmed up with some 1 on 1 โrace for the ballโ work. After a little hesitation they all found their competitive edge!
Then down to more serious netball, revisiting Stage 1 and 2 defence and encouraging communication between our defenders. Practise finished with Stage 3 and denying space and then some 5aside match play. Due to holidays we roped in Poppy and Evie (assistant coaches) to join the teams so thank you!

Pathway to Netball and Intro session.
We into the swing of it now, great effort into the warm up and Jump High Land Strong.
Concentrated on Stage 2 defence, ensuring quick reaction, getting our distance and arms up all to put pressure on the opposition and force the errors!
All players showed great control as they applied their Stage 1 and 2 defence in the drills and match play as can be seen in just a small selection of photos.
Well done everyone

Lymm Academy put loads of effort into circuit training and solo ball work before moving onto defensive skills where they closely tracked their player. Some great intercepts which also made them appreciate the role of our might Goal Defences. We discussed the importance of the GD on court and how they work with centre court to delay the GA from entering the circle. Great work and well done especially to our newbie - NIAMH - who gave it her all so awarded trainer of the night.

๐ENA Wednesday Night Juniors and Seniors ๐
Both sessions worked hard on their fitness, working on change of speed and direction as a netball player! Followed by ball skills and footwork! They all smashed tonightโs sessions!
Junior trainer of the night - Cecily for awesome ball skills and Senior trainer of the night - Gabby for brilliant footwork and changing of direction at speed. ๐๐๐๐

Lymm Academy showed their improvement in fitness levels in circuit training before using quick feet to work on defensive skills. All things Wing D were discussed to increase our knowledge of โthe Hunterโ. Turning over ball with super sharp defending skills and then transitioning into an attacking player are key to this role. Weโve a few in the making. Well done girls and especially to Elsie our trainer of the night

Pathway and Intro wk3
Great work rate and effort. Started the session really thinking about form and movement as the basis for all our netball. Great control showed Jump High Land Strong session C.
Moved quickly through some fundamental pass, footwork and quick release work before concentrating on Stage 1 defence. Lots to work on and remember but was so evident in their match play at the end of the session that they had taken it all in!
