Karten Network Spring 2019 Newsletter Hello Everyone! I can hardly believe we are already into April and hurtling towards our Spring Break. It's been an exciting year so far for the Karten Network with some incredible achievements in our Centres, I hope you enjoy and are inspired by the articles within this Newsletter.

It may have been the last week of term but there was no slowing down for our busy team - we had our filming and dvd production for St. Anne's Lydgate Primary School to finish and our lanyard order for St Annes Rugby Club to complete!

Tonight is the culmination of all our hard work over the last two terms - we've set our stall out at the Young Enterprise Oldham Finals at Oldham College's Grange Theatre ready for the big night ahead!!

We'll get to promote our product, be interviewed by the judges and finally deliver a 5 minute presentation to hundreds of people - exciting!!!!

We'll keep you all updated through the night on how it goes. Fingers crossed!!!!!

We're having a BRILLIANT day at the Young Enterprise Trade Fair at the intu Trafford Centre !!! We got there early and 'bagged' a prime spot, set up our stall and have been telling the public about our great strong, reusable cotton bags that can help cut plastic pollution and support Plastic Oceans UK.

The judges came round and we impressed them with our fab product and how much we've learnt about running our own enterprise and the dangers of plastic pollution.

To cap it all, we've just found out we've only gone and won the main award of the day - 'Highly Commended.' We were up against schools and colleges from across Greater Manchester, so we're feeling pretty proud of ourselves right now!!! 😀

Some of our fearless team braved the Dragons' Den today to give a presentation on our Young Enterprise .... and they did a fantastic job!! WELL DONE!!!

The business people were incredibly impressed and said we should be aiming to put this on TV - that's what we call a successful outcome!!! It's great to be back to in the swing!! We're looking ahead and busy planning for our next challenges - our new order of cotton bags has arrived ready for us to do our bit to help reduce plastic use. We've sent our first donation to Plastic Oceans UK for all the bags we sold before Christmas, thank you for all your support 👍

Another successful job completed!! We're really pleased that were so happy with the DVD we produced of their Nativity - just see what they had to say about the whole project..

"Hi, my name is Paula Welch and I am the EYFS lead at St. Margaret Mary's Primary School.

We have recently welcomed the pupils and staff from New Bridge into our school to film our nativity production. I would like to take this opportunity to say the whole experience has been fantastic and done in a really professional manner. The children and staff at our school were made to feel very relaxed and the children responded really well to the cameras.

We have had the opportunity to watch one of the DVD's (which were done and delivered in less than a week) and we are all really pleased with them. We were pleasantly surprised with how professional they were from the filming to the appearance. We feel they have been done to a very high standard and would love to work with the pupils and staff from New Bridge again in the future.
