What a fantastic day at Pigs in the Wood!!
Pigs in the woods is set in a 10 acre woodland In Huddersfield where all the rescue pigs (plus goats & chickens) live freely and finally living the happy, peaceful lives they deserve!
The team are volunteers who put their heart and souls into looking after these pigs who have had a horrible start in life.
All the pigs were so friendly and curious to meeting us which is amazing considering the abuse some of them have been through.
Please look on their page as they hold their very own events to raise money for such a fantastic cause.

Have you ever tried foraging for plants to feed to your rabbits? ๐ฐ
Not only is it a cost effective way to feed your pets, but there is also a huge variety of plants that you will find locally to you ๐
Some popular examples include:
- Camomile
- Clover
- Chickweed
- Dandelions
- Nettles
- Hedge bindweed
Most forage can be fed fresh at certain times of the year, but some are better dried and stored for use in the winter months. And with the warmer weather coming, itโs the perfect time to get out on a countryside walk to see what you can find!
But hereโs some top tips on what to remember whilst youโre out picking! ๐ฅฌ
[Visual description: An infographic with a white background and a pink border that includes images and text that describe foraging for rabbits. This includes: You can collect forage from any public hedgerows, footpaths, fields and woods. But always remember to stick to pathways if possible, avoid collecting forage from the roadside where itโs been contaminated by exhaust fumes, avoid paths and verges used by horses and dogs or near poo bins, before you feed any forage to your pets make sure to take it home and thoroughly wash it first, always be aware of what it is that youโre picking. Some forage can be poisonous to pets, so you want to avoid certain things and most forage can be fed fresh at certain times of the year and some are better dried and stored for use in the winter months.]
