Our Construction & Joinery students recently took part in specialist training with PASLODE, gaining hands-on experience using industry-standard gas-powered nail guns 🔨

Our students received certificates to support their future careers and CVs, and we’re incredibly grateful for the generous donation of three nail guns for use within our workshops.

🌱 Students leading the way at the Greater Manchester Green Summit

As we celebrate Green Week, we’re looking back at an inspiring moment from our Green College Assembly…

Our students represented the College at the Greater Manchester Green Summit, connecting with organisations, exploring green skills and gaining insight into the region’s journey towards a more sustainable future.

From engaging in thought-provoking panel discussions to exploring real-world solutions in the exhibition space, they made the most of every opportunity, asking insightful questions, sharing ideas and thinking about how sustainability can be applied within college, future careers and everyday life.

It was fantastic to see their passion, professionalism and commitment to making a difference - something we continue to champion this Green Week and beyond.

Building skills for a sustainable future 🔧🌱

Our Carpentry/Joinery and Plumbing apprentices recently took part in an interactive sustainability workshop in partnership with SUEZ.

The session explored the circular economy and how sustainable thinking can be embedded into construction and building services - from reducing waste and improving material efficiency to making smarter decisions on-site.

Our apprentices brought great energy and ideas to the session, working collaboratively to explore real-world solutions and how they can apply these approaches in their future careers.

It’s brilliant to see our learners developing the skills, knowledge and mindset to shape a more sustainable future in their industries.
