Year 1 have had an exciting morning! They’ve been learning about jobs related to mini beasts and animals, thanks to Primary Futures. They have learnt about:
Ecologists- people who learn about nature and help protect it.
Civil engineers- people who build and look after canals and bridges. They also look out for badgers and ducks.
Virologists- people who learn about tiny germs called viruses.
Some children would like to be an ecologist, civil engineer or virologist, others said they’d prefer to have a job inside!!

Nursery have been learning all about minibeasts this half term and have loved reading the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. This led to an Understanding The World investigation where we researched lots of different minibeasts and used this information to paint our favourite creatures!

Year 1 have been working incredibly hard in Art this half term! 🎨🐦
They’ve explored drawing birds, designed their own beautiful feathers, and even experimented with transforming paper from 2D into 3D. To finish, they created their very own 3D birds—and the results are amazing!
Miss Henderson is so proud of their creativity and artistic skills. Well done, Year 1! 🌟

What a fantastic morning we’ve had! 🌟
Year 5 have been working incredibly hard designing and creating their own board games, all to support Year 1 in their learning.
Our Year 1 children have been focusing on identifying and counting numbers up to 50, and these games were the perfect way to bring that learning to life.
We were so proud of how well Year 5 explained the rules and supported the younger children as they played. They showed great patience, kindness, and encouragement throughout.
It was truly a wonderful morning for everyone involved—well done, Year 5! 👏
