The smile says it all!

Nicki absolutely smashed Tadcaster Triathlon last week, in a real breakthrough period of consistent training and new found confidence.

Any nerves about the day soon subsided and she executed her race plan to perfection.

Well done Nicki, you rock 🀘

Massive shout out to the excellent who had a cracking race at IM 70.3 Venice last weekend.

I’ve been working with Ross for a while and we’ve been so excited to see how this race would go. There have been IT band issues galore and Ross has learnt to pull back in training to ensure consistency and longevity.

After a superb swim (with no open water practice due to the weather in Scotland and across the UK) Ross came in as 8th in AG well underneath the 30 minute mark. Whilst ideally we would have held back a bit on the bike, due to the IT band Ross pushed on and got a great bike split of 2:23. The run was tough as we knew it would be but Ross is a racer and brought the race home in style.

Finishing in a fantastic 4:49, Ross has shown his class, knocking 43 minutes off his previous 70.3 time from last year. There’s definitely more to come from Ross as we start his Ironman build after some well earned rest!

Well done Ross, what fantastic start to an exciting season πŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’š

And that’s a wrap for another awesome London Marathon πŸ’œπŸ’š

Three great athletes, 3 very different experiences, and everyone smiling through the finish line!

First up is David, who ran a solid race in preparation for more ultras in the summer! He did laugh saying he now prefers a moving picnic and permission to walk whenever he wants! A great sub 4:30 finish, David made the most of his experience πŸ™Œ

Next up is Alexa, who has continued to surprise herself through out the training process and who continues to prove her impostor syndrome wrong! Alexa absolutely smashed it yesterday, and even managed selfies with Joe Wicks and Daddy Pig. So proud of everything you did yesterday Alexa, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!

Anthony described yesterday as the best day of his life: he soaked up the crowd, he soaked up the vibes and made sure he got everything out of his London Marathon experience. Anthony had delivered a great training block until his back went a couple of weeks ago. Whilst this was highly upsetting, Anthony is great at turning a negative into a positive and with the help of we made it to the start line. After a fantastic day, most likely feeling all the emotions Anthony finished with a huge smile on his face, knowing that he’d never forget his London experience πŸ’œπŸ’š

A huge well done to the team; you all smashed it πŸ’ͺ

It’s all go this weekend again - here’s a good luck message from our TRACKSTARS to David, Anthony and Alexa running the London Marathon this Sunday and to Trackstar Lisa racing T100 Singapore… plus away from the TRACKSTARS, Kirsty is racing Wilmslow Triathlon πŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’š

Let’s go!!

Manchester was hit by MARATHON FEVER yesterday! Marathon fever is often preceded by a condition known as MARANOIA … but managed properly neither are a risk to health!

It was such a great day for our CKO athletes and Trackstars … I was a very proud coach!

Kristina absolutely smashed it after a year of knee rehab. She’s put (blood), sweat and tears into gym work and built the run back from zero. Her discipline and determination are to be admired, and she finished with a smile!

Anna was left training on her own after her training partner (me) deserted her in December. Undeterred, Anna pressed on despite lots of work and family commitments and ticked off those training sessions like a pro. Anna, you should be so proud of yesterday!

Trackstar Richard had also battled back from injury and we saw him every week at track getting stronger and a little bit faster (even faster!) each time. Every time we saw him on the route he looked super composed and his splits were outstanding: it was wonderful to see! This photo would have us believe he was leading the race and I’m not going to argue with a photo!

Long time friend of CKO Alice also had an amazing race, despite being unsure whether she would get a place or not! She absolutely smashed it with a brilliant run and consistent pacing, again, smiling all the way around.

Big shout out to my Happy Athlete Club buddy Katie who, as always, pulled out a fantastic performance πŸ’ͺπŸ’œπŸ’š

I’m super proud of the CKO runners you are all legends and I hope you feel ok today!

Mitchell was also in action at the West Lancs Tri with a great performance and a PB to boot, and Kirsty did her first TT and had a great race; learning loads about the bike! The season is hotting up!

Next up it’s the London Marathon with Anthony, David and Alexa limbering up nicely ready to take the stage πŸ’œπŸ’š
