With the Omicron spread, you’re probably still focusing on hosting online events.
To ensure that you can still engage your audience, even when online, you have to leave traditional online Zoom conferences in 2021.
For instance, Louise Rushworth, Events Manager at Cambridge Network, mentioned in the below article an event whereby PA Consulting wanted to do something different to a Zoom presentation – they walked a virtual audience through their facilities to show engineering labs, prototype-making and a digital twin demonstrator, all hosted on mobile phones.

You could do something similar, by getting CPD Online to host a livestream of a behind-the-scenes look at your company building, for instance.

PCMA completed a survey of event planners and suppliers in July 2020, which found that:
- 56% of event planners include diversity goals when hiring speakers.
- 78% of event planners set diversity goals around gender.
- 80% set goals around ethnicity.
Event planners are realising that setting diversity goals is a great way to ensure that your events aren’t biased and don’t end up lacking diversity. SpeakerFlow points out that this can help represent your diverse audience more, and expose them to a wider range of experiences, viewpoints, arguments and suggestions.

When hosting a CPD event for your members, choosing the right event partner is key.
We recommend that you don’t just use an event supplier on a one-off occasion. Your event supplier should be a team that you use on multiple occasions, so that they’re like an extension of your own event team. That way, they’ll have a more thorough understanding of your long-term event goals, how you like to run your events, and how you best like to get through event obstacles.
CPD Online specialises in being a long-term event livestreaming supplier for our partners. For instance, the Institution of Civil Engineers have hired us for many long-term projects for many years. Email [email protected] today, and we’d be happy to discuss which events you’d like us to broadcast in 2022 and beyond.
