๐โโ๏ธGroup Run, 1-2-1 Sessions and the Manchester 10K๐โโ๏ธ
A new route for the Park View group run on Saturday, running round the New Islington Marina.
Further progress made on the 1-2-1 sessions, despite some extreme heat in the earlier part of the week. Focus on 5K and Half Marathon training.
Great to go and watch the Manchester 10K and cheer on a few runners I know, including

๐โโ๏ธKingsway Park, Urmston Parkrun๐โโ๏ธ
First run at the newly created Kingsway Park Parkrun. Now my local Parkrun too, taking over from Stretford.
An all grass course so was never going to be the quickest but enjoyed it more than I expected.
Aim was to run between 19:30-20:00 as wasn't going all out on this one and got 19:44 so about the right pace.
Still loyal to Stretford but this will be a good one to do if deciding on the morning!

๐ Jane had her first 1-2-1 session with me, mile reps, working towards improving her fitness for Half Marathon & Marathons later in the year
๐ Steph also began her first block of training with me with some km reps. Also working towards building mileage for a HM in November
๐ Rachel put in another consistent session during her 500m reps
๐ Allen was unlucky to get soaked in of the random downpours on his training day while doing his 800m reps ๐คฃ

๐โโ๏ธ100th Official Parkrun - Stretford๐โโ๏ธ
Finally got my 100th Parkrun done. Ran round with .5423 aiming for towards 20 but under 21 as a 2nd target. His best time at Stretford so far - 20:40.
Will bring that time down in the next couple of months!

๐ Joint session with Ady & Saf. 6 x 800m off 2 mins rest, pushing the pace below 4:00/km again.

๐โโ๏ธParkrun 99 - Peel Parkrun, Salford ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
First run at Peel Parkrun and was one of my favourite courses. Pleased to get a sub 19 as well. 99 official Parkruns done, only one to go to join the 100 Club!

I offer running coaching in person as well as training plans and support online.
In the next year I am hoping to continue to improve my 5K & 10K times, enter a Hyrox in 2027 and achieve a sub 3 hour time at the Manchester Marathon.

Dean did the 8 week training plan with me recently before moving back up to the North East.
He came to me with the primary target of improving his fitness for 5K.
Before starting he was around the 36 minute mark for Parkrun and by the end of the 8 weeks had got his time down to 33:39 on his final session with me which was a track 5K.
