🏃Heaton Parkrun🏃

Back to my original parkrun for this one and I do not miss that hill!

Targets were sub 19, 19:30 or 20 knowing the big hill was going to challenge me.

Finished in around 19:20 so fairly happy with that time. Will try and get back before the end of the year and get a sub 19.

🏃‍♂️ South Manchester Parkrun 🏃‍♂️

Took it a bit easier this morning after a 9K with a client beforehand but still got round at a decent pace ending between 20-21 mins.

Good week of training so far with 3 quicker runs, trying to build on consistency and get my Parkrun time down to low 18 again in the coming weeks.

Got a few clips again so will post later this month or in Oct. Hopefully useful for anyone who hasn't done this course.

🏃‍♂️ Motivation can get you started but consistency gets you results!🏃‍♀️

You won't always feel like training, but that's normal. It's how you react when the motivation fades that will determine the progress you make over time.

Set yourself a minimum standard, stick to your routine and keep showing up. You don't need every run to be perfect. You just need to stick to your plan as much as you can.

Even small consistent efforts add up over time...

📊 What gets you out running most often?

Consistent routine or motivation?

🏃‍♂️AUGUST CLIENT FEATURE - KEV🏃‍♂️

Kevin James Tebay

I've known Kev since our college days and it's been amazing to see the progress he's made over the years with his running and all-round fitness.

One of my overseas clients, I'm currently helping him work towards a Half Marathon PB through an online training option.

Kev is an incredibly driven athlete and loves taking on new challenges with experience across the standard road races as well as in ultra running, trail running and HYROX.

🏃‍♀️ Why having a running coach can make a huge difference🏃

My online client Hazel explains why she prefers having an actual running coach rather than simply following an app like Runna.

The training plan has focused on steadily building her mileage ahead of the Malaga Marathon while balancing her running with gym training and other events.

Her next 8-week block will focus on increasing her long runs whilst ensuring she doesn't overtrain in the 2 weeks she has Half Marathons.

We've also discussed HR zones being an easier way to guide her on certain runs rather than just simply pace targets.

🏃Cheadle Hulme Parkrun🏃

New Parkrun done.

After a couple of weeks away and being unwell the last 2 weeks just wanted to tick off a new Parkrun today and take it fairly easy.

Was hoping for under 21 but rolled my ankle and found it tough to get going, so finished in around 21:45.

Not the quickest or easiest Parkrun this one but no one there tries to advertise it as that. Great to have so many local Parkruns to try out though!

Took some videos while running round so will post a video and a review in the coming weeks.
