The aim of the homes is to provide a homely, safe environment providing 24 hour nursing care, 365 days each year, for all ages.

We care for children and young people from all over the UK; where the services which we provide may not be found. We provide all types of care, including day care, respite and residential. Many of our staff have been with us for over five years.

EAM Care Group has now come to an end this group will remain open for past residents & families to look back through the memories the last 18 yrs which can’t be wiped out.

It’s been such a journey & thanks to everyone that has been part of EAM residents, families and staff.

I am now moving on from 43 years of nursing to something completely different & shortly there will be a new FB to follow Sew Woolly my next adventure is into the world of wool, fabrics & craft sessions.

Everyone is more than welcome to visit my shop in Cheadle Stockport to say ‘hello’ once I open. Just look out for FB coming soon.

Once again thank you from myself and Nick for making EAM what it was. We have so many memories the lows & the highs but mainly highs & that’s down to everyone that has shared in our story.

Going forward Mysa have a FB of their own for you to follow.

Just having a reflection regarding the years at EAM from starting out with nothing to the proud heights that EAM grew into. I have won several business awards over the years & been to lots of presentations. Best of all is the staff that grew at EAM we’ve had people become a Child clinical psychologist, a children’s nurse, a Doctor, adult nurses, Research Doctor, NVQs 2,3,4 & 5,Assistant Practitioners the list is endless of our achievements. EAM was a place that supported people’s aspirations. So thank you to everyone that has been a part of EAM. Me & Nick are so proud of you all & what you’ve done for the residents take care and follow your dreams I did it starting with a bank loan so if I can do it you can as well. Take care will miss you all.

Well it’s been a hectic 18 years building up such a fantastic group of homes from nothing not many will achieve that & I am proud of what I have done. I thank Nick for joining me in this journey who has taken the homes from strength to strength, but to all the kind & caring staff that have been on this journey with me. I thank all the residents & their families that I have had the pleasure to meet & care for. As with all journeys they come to an end and that time is now. Thanks for the lovely leaving gifts & kind words. So goodbye to each & everyone of you & take care I couldn’t have done it without each & everyone of you # # #

Thursday morning worship at work. A time for staff & residents to come together in ‘light’ worship & to think about how we look after each other. We are all proud of how well Victoria read the EAM prayer. Doughnuts were enjoyed by everyone as part of coming together.
