Our Art Foundation students have been making the most of their time in the Lake District this week, with a fantastic day at Whinlatter Forest.

With the weather on their side, students spent the day immersed in the outdoors, experimenting with natural materials found in the forest 🌳

The creativity continued into the evening, with students experimenting with slow-shutter-speed photography to create light trails around the grounds of their accommodation 📸

Despite the pouring rain, hundreds of prospective students and their families joined us for our Open Event today! ☔

Fantastic to see so many people exploring our campus, meeting our teachers, discovering our courses and getting a taste of what life at Pendleton is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather and came along – we hope to see you here in 2027!

Students attended our 'Crack the High-Grade Code in Economics' enrichment event here at Pendleton Sixth Form College this week.

The session was designed to inspire current Economics students by sharing practical strategies for achieving high grades from three students who have successfully completed the course themselves.

Fraser Livesey, Jazmeene Etchou and Grace Griffin all gave great advice about their own experiences and answered questions from the students.

Our second year Photography students headed out into the landscape this week, experimenting with different techniques and capturing the Peak District through their own creative lens. 📸

📸 Fancy trying one of the earliest forms of photography?

Join our college photographers this Saturday for a FREE Cyanotype Workshop at Height Library!

Use sunlight and photographic negatives to create your own striking blue-and-white print to take home - and have a go at taking an instant photo that prints there & then too.

No experience needed and all materials are provided.

Just drop in, get creative and help us celebrate Salford’s 100-year city status.
