On Tuesday, our Year 3’s visited Nipper Lane allotments for the morning. They had the chance to plant seeds, look at growing produce and experience fruit and vegetable harvesting whilst also being able to visit lots of allotments at the site.
The trip was related to their Design and Technology unit where they learnt all about seasonal produce and made seasonal vegetable tarts. The visit also nicely linked to their current science topic all about plants. They had a fantastic time, were so engaged and learnt so much from Alan and all of the volunteers at the Nipper Lane allotments. Thank you so much for giving up your time and showing the children another part of their local community.

What a fabulous afternoon year 5 and 6 had yesterday! They had the opportunity to take part in a STEM workshop sponsored by the Royal Air Force. We looked at using coding to fly drones and practiced using different codes to change the height and direction of the drones. Well done to all the children, they were brilliant.
Thank you to Hyett Education for providing a great experience for the children!
