☃️Y5 Christmas crafts☃️

☃️Merry Christmas from our Nursery class⛄️

Year 1 had a history workshop.
We learnt about toys that our parents and grandparents might have played with.
We went back in time and had a look at some different toys. We learnt about what they were made from and how similar or different they are from toys today. We got to play with and draw the toys too! It was a fun day!

This half term Year 1's DT project has been 'Eat a rainbow'.
We learnt about the difference between fruit and vegetables, we learnt about how to prepare food and learnt different cutting techniques.
We made and ate a delicious fruit salad and some vegetables with dips.
We really enjoyed trying different things!

Reception have been baking! Some of the children wrote a letter to Miss Wileman and asked if they could bake. Of course she said yes!
The children baked and decorated their cookies. The children labelled their paper mat with their name and the sounds they could hear in the word 'biscuit'

Year 4 had a wonderful time learning about Maya artefacts, food and clothing.

Wild science 🐍

Special Delivery! The children in reception have done their invitations to their nativity! The children wrote to their grown ups. The invitations were put into envelopes and the children walked to the post office to buy a stamp before posting them in the post box. Look out for yours in the post!

The year 5 leadership team have been working hard to create idea boxes which will be put in the local community, to let the people of Salford have their say about how they would like to celebrate 100 years of Salford.
