At MPT, we operate an equal opportunities policy and are Disclosure & Barring Certificated.. We teach beginners, rusty and current pianists up to advanced level. You will learn in person at the Didsbury studio or on your own piano online via Skype. Among our students: retired people, schoolchildren, professionals, media creatives, footballers, DJs, IT personnel, performers, medical practitioners and people from all walks of life who need a change of environment and a new, relaxing hobby. We teach Mindfully, encouraging students to relax and focus and to play in the moment. Lessons are sold singly or in blocks of four consecutive weeks,
Exams are optional: but we teach students how to play the piano, as well as how to pass exams. Fees are £35 for 60 mins, £28 for 45 mins, £20 for 30 mins. Free trial lesson. Principal Diane Paul is a former Manchester School of Music pupil - among her tutors have been international concert pianists Richard Greatorex and Robert Gregory (who studied with Theodor Leschetizky in Vienna). Leschetizky was taught by composer Carl Czerny, who was taught by Beethoven. She began playing aged 5 and has been a professional accompanist, composer, duettist and piano teacher over many years. She is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. Diane is also a published award-winning author and national journalist. Member Society of Authors.

Diane Paul at Manchester Piano Tutor in Didsbury is taking in-person lessons once again (with Covid19 precautions of course) so we're welcoming back former and new students. We have students down south as far as London and Cornwall who are continuing on Skype and students more local who may sometimes need an online lesson, so you can mix and match if you need to. Diane Paul at Manchester Piano Tutor has eight online piano trial lessons to fill for the month of July. 'No travelling to and fro and you can play on your own instrument. It's a doddle.' She has been very busy with online teaching and now teaches in studio and online. 'Lijiahao here learns online and is really moving forwards,' she says.
